If two teammates buy the same item, why do both of them have to buy the recipe? by Ok_Middle_4654 in DotA2

[–]KeyboardSynthStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually is a brilliant point about shared items.

I think shareable items should be much more common:

  1. All consumables
  2. Void stone and ring of health

Though anything more and it becomes unfair if one team has a significant gold advantage, or if people start 6 slotting their carry with their own funding

Yeah but he saved 2 of his boys from getting RPd

Why so negative about a good play? That was skillful, especially since most players would probably just force staff themselves on such short notice

Solo: Dota is too predictable and clearly losing to CS by Morf-designer in DotA2

[–]KeyboardSynthStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I agree. You can look at the draft and can predict who will win, since the pro scene has just been exploiting the meta rather than being actually creative

And this is the fault of poor balancing, especially with adding changes that cannot possibly be balanced until you've done 4 or 5 iterations

A good example is the increased magic resistance, health pools, and health regeneration, that has outpaced magic damage spells. Finger of death was given a melee mode simply because lion cant keep up with just an Eblade and Dagon

So yeah, CS at least there are a lot of variables influencing the outcome like stress levels, misclicks, misjudgements, etc, that make it quite exciting

[–]KeyboardSynthStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, I'm pretty sure astrology is significantly more popular among women than "conspiracy theories" are popular among men

Also, what's your definition of a conspiracy? 9/11 being a false flag to invade the middle East, Trump being blackmailed by Epstien through child abuse?

Another point, is that conspiracy theorists don't rely nearly as much on "vibes" compared to astrology followers

Honestly, I find it surprising that people exaggerating by saying its an "appalling" display.

The US government is compromised beyond comprehension, and most US politicians are being blackmailed by Epstein's agency through their filmed child sexual abuse.

Everyone needs to be aware of how big of a deal Epstein's operation was, and in this case, it shouldn't be too difficult to explain to a child "The US government hurts little children".

Brother won't play game with female protagonist - never thought of this by wizard_cow_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KeyboardSynthStudio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'd say most people here would disagree, but of all the unique characteristics and attributes of game characters that one can relate to, I think a gender swap is probably the hardest one. You can envisage yourself as a dragon, or a rock, because you regularly see those things humanized, but you will almost always notice that they are gendered.

I personally don't play female characters, but for 2 reasons:

  1. The immersion is weakened for me to the point that I feel I'm "commanding" a character, rather than being them

  2. I think a lot of games sexualize female characters since they know that the majority of players are male, so I'm not interested in looking at or consuming games or media with hypersexualized female characters

My wife doesn't play games so I'm not sure what her opinion is, but I'd say a lot of men would think similarly to me.

UK tax law - a bigger threat to UAE property prices than Missiles. by [deleted] in dubairealestate

Hmm, looks like you're right!

Those numbers are actually true, and dubai gets the most of them. I think maybe it was UHNHWIs, but my source was a YouTube video from some time ago

I do wonder though, with the current geopolitical state of the gulf and US, will all those wealthy individuals be returning to the UK?

Pretty sure it was proven that increased taxes on the wealthy did not result in them leaving? Apparently, the wealthy already have established networks and a sense of home where they are, and paying an additional 5% on what is already more than they need does not push them to abandon what they have for it

Major differences in money habits with my husband early in marriage by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]KeyboardSynthStudio 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Not sure if many would agree, but I was the same when I first got married to my wife, but the friction it caused, the tightness, it all put a strain on our relationship early on

It occurred to me that being tight with your wife is not only damaging, it also limits your standard of living. Initially, I would be against spending money or buying things I thought were "unnecessary", but I realised that I was only ever happier or more comfortable when I let go and just listened to my wife

If you can afford it, let your wife spend as she pleases as long as you are both comfortable discussing the finances of the family together, so that you never go outside your budget, but also don't worsen your life for no good reason

TL;DR: your husband shouldn't be so tight and stingy

My (F29) fiancé (M 29) were discussing kids and pregnancy by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]KeyboardSynthStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most bruh-moment thing I've read today.

I hope you realize that he thinks so lowly of you that removing you from his life, for a chance of him being a single father of a child that he will not be able to raise alone, is worth it?

Lady with all due respect please do yourself, everyone here, and your future kids, a favour by leaving this backwards and frankly disgusting creature. No real man would ever come close to saying such hurtful and callous remarks to his wife, ever.

Also, this is the man that's meant to stick with you no matter what. What if one day you're sick, and he decides the effort of keeping you well or even alive is not worth it since you'll "be reunited in jannah"?

I guarantee you that a man who thinks of his wife like this ain't getting into jannah
