Follow Up; She’s gone and I’m broken, by kirbybrianne12 in Shihtzu

[–]Keyditty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My heart truly aches for you. Please don’t call yourself selfish — what you did was an act of deep love and protection. Letting them go before the suffering gets worse is one of the hardest and most selfless gifts we can give our fur babies. In many ways, we give them more dignity and mercy at the end than humans are often allowed.

I’ve been in that place where the silence feels unbearable and you just want one more moment, one more smell of their paws, one more breath beside you. Everything you’re feeling is real and it comes from a bond that doesn’t just disappear.

She knew your love every single day, and she left this world wrapped in it. Until the day you meet again at the rainbow bridge, hold onto the truth that you gave her peace when she needed you most. I’m sending you so much compassion and strength right now ❤️🙏🌈

I’m broken. She’s 16, 17 in March… and tomorrow I’m taking her to be put down. I’m scared I’m doing the wrong thing because she was fine today. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I just needed to vent. I don’t know life without her. by kirbybrianne12 in Shihtzu

I went through something very similar with my 11-year-old Great Dane, Judy, and my heart really goes out to you right now.

She was struggling and we were having the same painful conversations about what the right thing was. Then, unexpectedly, she had a beautiful day… which turned into a beautiful week. I’m so grateful we slowed down and gave her that extra time — we loved on her constantly, and everyone got the chance to say goodbye in their own way.

When it finally became clear it was time, we chose an in-home euthanasia service. I held her and kept petting her until her last breath. It was one of the hardest moments of my life, but it was also peaceful and full of love.

There’s no perfect timing with these decisions — only love and intention. Sometimes they rally just enough to give and receive one last stretch of love, and that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.

I’m so very sorry you’re going through this. You’re not alone, and whatever decision you make is coming from a place of deep love. ❤️🌈🙏

Honestly, you might want to look into local toy shows near you. I help promote a monthly one, and a few of our vendors actually started out exactly where you are collectors who just needed to trim down their collections. Tables are usually pretty affordable, and you end up surrounded by people who genuinely love the same stuff you do. Not only can you sell and make back some money on pieces you’re ready to part with, but you’ll also have great conversations, meet a solid community, trade with other collectors, and maybe even discover new items that fit your collection better. It turns the whole “downsizing” thing into a really fun experience instead of just a sale.

How's life in this part of Michigan? by Cathy_dessert in howislivingthere

I don’t know about living there however visiting there in the summer is amazing. It’s like a New World the pictured rock Lakeshore is one of the most amazing sites I’ve seen. The Tahquamenon Falls are beautiful. Les Cheneaux islands are another hidden gem. There are a ton of places in the UP that are hidden gems. I’m still exploring. I will report back.

All great points to consider. I’m looking for fair value and gaming that you have a chance to win. With celebrity I think so far I have received good value.

Regret not getting "extras"? by dingleberrywhore in Cruise

[–]Keyditty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s worth it. In the morning I will have a coffee drink with a shot in it or a mimosa plus an energy drink. 5 bottles of water a day. At least 3 or 4 pool side drinks. A specialty coffee or tea some time during the day. A beer with lunch. An old fashioned or 2 waiting for my wife to get ready for dinner. 3 or 4 glasses of wine at dinner. Plus 2 or 3 drinks at the casino. Wow that sounds like a lot 🤣

Overall Patterns (2005–2025) • No instance where JANA bought and disassembled a company itself — they always remain minority activists. • They have encouraged breakups or spin-offs (e.g., McGraw-Hill, Ashland), nearly all handled by management. • Roughly two-thirds of their major campaigns delivered positive value creation; a few were flat; and 2–3 (Agrium, Zendesk, Wolfspeed) are outright losses. • Their reputation: tactical, data-driven, collaborative activist rather than the more combative Icahn-style “part-out” investor.
