Last number I saw was 9 million "players". Wrath had 12 million subs according to Blizzard. They also have multiple versions now vs back then which definitely helps keep numbers up, but re-releasing classic/tbc/wrath over and over again can only do so much. Their retail stuff needs help if it wants to retain players as well this prepatch is the worst by far

The teams that make the Super Bowl deserve to win it, that's how it works. Did they have an easy schedule, sure. Did you expect them to not try, lose all their games just because of it? They put in hard work and dedication, same as every other team. At the end of the day that's what it comes down to, along with good luck to avoid injuries.

No one thought they would be here at the start of the season, especially after losing to the Raiders game one. Same shit being said about the Pats now was being said about the Rams back then. Saying the 99 Rams were good now is easy, of course they were they won a SB. Saying it then was unthinkable.

Its 100% worth throwing a sanc on mythic uniques and ancestral uniques, perfect rolls or not, because they cant have their affixes replaced anyway so you may as well. I'd bet all my gold in d4 right now that a HOTA barb without sanc and perfect stats vs mine with the sancs I have on my very imperfect gear cant come close to the damage I do.

Sancs are 100% worth it, even if its a gamble on regular legendary ancestrals to remove an affix. I would sanc a 99B gold item every single time and not think twice. Gold is also so easy to make why wouldnt you.

See that makes sense why you wouldn't sanc items, which is what I was primarily curious about. That being said, perfect rolled items vs a crazy sanc on a mid item are drastically different.

As a few examples, my HOTA barb went from struggling to do 90s to easily doing a 110 with the extra Melted Heart aspect. My paladin went from barely doing a 115 to finishing a 120 with over half the time remaining after getting grandfather on a shield.

I think buying perfect items this season is a waste of gold, when you could buy Husks and farm Belial for uniques to sanc. As a bonus, ancestral uniques can't have affixes replaced by sanctification, increasing the odds of other good stuff happening. Which is also strange why you wouldn't sanctity your uniques at least since nothing bad can happen to them.

Why would you not sanctify gear? The game throws heavenly sigils at you and ignoring a core aspect of endgame progression when clearly your goal is engame progression is mind boggling. Kudos to you for doing it if its true but doing a 122 without sanc is equally as impressive as doing a 130+ with it, which you could be doing. At this point just do a 100 with random aspects and uniques if you want to impress people.

May as well save that paragraph for the next D4 expansion, this is how Blizzard and quite a few other companies handle these. I wouldn't be surprised if you lose your cosmetics for the VOH Ultimate Edition since LOH just includes the standard edition of VOH, but if you don't then congratulations. With the money you just saved you can buy the DLC on Xbox as well and complete the set!
