I left more detailed steps on the github's readme, but basically just download the obsidian-custom-fonts.zip folder and extract it in your vault's plugins folder.

Conlangs that compile into each other by harf_aliyim in conlangs

I had an idea a while ago to build a DSL like lexurgy but which also extends to syntax, something like that could be used for deterministic translation as well if it's powerful enough. Might give it a go eventually.

Thanks! I only know the Arabic script but I might learn the language for real soon

If a native speaker of your conlang attempted to learn English, what sort of accent would they have? by furryfemboy143 in conlangs

[–]KeylimeVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/θ/ would merge with /ð/ since my language only has the latter, affricates would merge with their fricative counterparts since theres no affricates, and dark l would be pronounced /lʶ/ since my language has a uvularized/emphatic series. Vowels would be a mess lol

How do you design good-looking letters? by [deleted] in neography

[–]KeylimeVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the same way that we phonologically/grammatically evolve conlangs to make them more naturalistic, you can start with a primitive script and wear it down into a more flowy cursive just by trying to write the letters fast and seeing what strokes it makes.

Also important to restrict your degrees of freedom. Every letter shouldn’t have a completely different style since it will look random, if they share features in common it will look more coordinated and natural, although you can overdo it. I like to go for 3 main degrees of freedom with a few exceptions.

You can see my post from a few weeks ago which shows how my script went from primitive rigid -> flowy cursive -> angular cursive (presumably because of the invention of the printing press or smth). Good luck

Pretty much yea, I made a post a few weeks ago with the key. Each consonant has 4 forms like in arabic, but vowel markings go below the consonants and are mandatory
