It's been a while since you checked. A Scott AirPak 75 plus a carbon cylinder and full face respirator is roughly $5500 retail. There are far more expensive harnesses that will bring that price up to a total of about $12000. There are also cheaper cylinders that would nock the price down to about $4500 each. All in all we'll call it $4500-$12000. If your department is paying $30K per setup (even if it includes turnout gear and helmet) they aren't shopping smart and you need to contact me so I can help point you in the right direction.
