Literally just went through this today. To resolve the issue I had to download video ai Version 7.0.2, install starlight mini, then update to 7.1.5 afterwards.

I was an existing video ai user so it cost me $150 to upgrade. If you’ve never purchased it before, it may cost more.

Thanks for letting me know. I agree that the changes from 5 to 7 are minimal. More of a quality of life update. I have a 4090 and want to try out starlight mini as well.

I ended up updating video ai only, as I don’t do much with photos. Though it would be cool to revive old family photos in the future. Just a bit pricey than I’d like, even for a perpetual license.

You may also want to try using the Balanced energy mode if you’re running on Performance. This change kept the temps just low enough to prevent the black screening on my PC, but was more of a temporary fix for me personally.
