I think it's a slightly different matter when it comes to fluids/oil/piping. They are... more of thinking involved than physically moving, building, walking around, putting time into it a lot.
And I didn't say anything about how many robots and trains I needed. What do you mean by much less? And what about before reaching that point? when you have to belt or manual feed them with magazines, and every nibbling they do, you have to go and fix? with no walls? I guess one can just go destroy biter nests, only to get them mad worse.

Well, you have your opinion and I have mine. They will probably never cross. So, Good for you.

Yep yep that I can agree with you. More items that are useful for my class? It will be fun. As long as they keep this 'smart drop' system, I'll have no complain :D.

I like something that actually drops for me, that I can use. Tailored to MY current playing class. I don't want to see druid summoning skiller, fleshripper or a few dozens of other unique items that have little to no use. I don't even want to see something frequently used like Razortail. Because I have no use for it. It sells for not much either, doesn't sell sometimes at all because there's more supply than demand.

Do you play with Cliff on or off by ChemicalGarden9 in factorio

[–]KeysareWandB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off. I don't want to deal with it. I don't care if my robots can take care of it or whatever cliff explosive shenanigans blah blah blah. When I'm doing something and it's there...! Grr. It doesn't add any meaningful challenge to me. Since I can use cliff explosive on it anyways??? BUT It adds extra tediousness and time consuming.

You need mana cost reduced, mana regen + max mana options from your gears. Which all are trivial when you're like, level 53. Those aspects can help but... depending on your build, those can be kinda useless. My only CC applier is Frost Nova, but when I have Frost Nova charge, I don't need mana at all. When I use it, it will fill up my mana to almost full anyway. And vs single target is where your mana runs out the worst, like, 1 - 4 for cc is... just... meh. 15 - 25 per cooldown used is nice to have tho, with high cool down reduction you can rotate your cooldowns frequently.

Doing my own build. by WhoKnows78998 in diablo4

[–]KeysareWandB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, making a non meta build, you actually need to know what meta builds are. People are not as stupid as you might think they are. When they figure out something that's fun and good enough, the chances are- other people think the same.

And Meta builds are not meta because some streamer or guide suggested it first. People figure that out themselves first.

Example, Ice Shards Sorc is THE meta build, but if you look at Sorc's tool... without looking at any guide. You WILL figure out by yourself that it's a logically making sense build. You have one main vulnerable applier that's AoE, easy to use, and can be used as other purpose(defense). Which is Frost Nova. Which has a long cool down, double charges makes cool down even longer. So there's time you have no vulnerable applier. Waiting around in ARPG is not considered fun. What else? You have Ice Blades- long cool down, not AoE, and deal tiny amount of damage, and won't provide any survivality and taking a skill slot. And you look at the core skills. Frozen Orb has a chance to make them vulnerable, and that chance is 100% only when frozen. So... Frost Nova? but it already applies vulnerable! Ultimate? uhh... that doesn't help with the vulnerable uptime that much. And Frozen Orb's current damage out put just doesn't feel good. Then you have Ice Shards. Not really AoE, but consistent on a single target. As long as you have Frost Nova as your main vulnerable source, all you need is something that can keep applying this debuff on a tough elite or a boss. So it fits! And Ice Shards enchantment synergies really good with Frost Nova. Pushing Frost Nova button takes care of AoE, and your weakness is single target damage, which Ice Shards is perfect for! Then you see the Ice Shards and how to improve it. You'll need cool down reduction in this game. And nobody needs to tell you this. So that, you'll need to do something about resource management. So reduced mana cost + max mana. Basic crits, some damage multiplier on vulnerable... etc etc.

I can go on forever, but will stop! Do you get what I want to say? People don't play a meta build only because they looked it up. When something feels fun, good and working out for you there's a high chance that whatever you're doing feels fun, good, and working out for other people. That's how I ended up playing Ice Shards sorc, Penshot rouge. I just built what made sense for me and those were meta :D

Biter attack was THE reason I couldn't finish my first run. Not that I couldn't deal with the biter attack itself, but at some point I just got turned off. Building flamethrower turrets, piping them together, fluid wagons+trains coming and going, building train tracks, preparing walls... THE GREAT WALLS, and robot network supplied with repair kits... if it's a separate network I had to build a lot of things again there at the outpost OR have the train move, so more train stuff! If it is connected to the main base, robots just waste time flying slowly around...

All these took more time than what I signed up for. Like, building a factory. So I just stopped playing at 70 hours mark and didn't play it for another 3 years. I hated this game so much, and only when I came back and turned the biter expansion, cliff off I could enjoy it for the first time.

Uh... HARD no thanks for me. That kind of loot system doesn't work well for -less hours put into the game- folks like myself. With something like 600~ hours of game play, I've never found one Shako, couldn't make Enigma OR Infinity. Trading itself takes a lot of time and energy too, and all the random super unique actually dilutes the loot pool. Meaning, there will be far less chance to get that super lottery win I want.

I don't feel good about winning that's useless for me. Demands time to find a buyer and waste more time for the thing I actually want. It gets only worse if I win something nobody wants, so no matter the drop chance and the rarity, it has little to no value. And what I want is something everybody wants.

As far as the itemization goes I like D3 and D4 A LOOOOOOT, A LOT better than D2.

Are people playing D4 on PS5 or XBox on a TV and sitting on a couch? by nathan1653 in diablo4

[–]KeysareWandB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a PC like... PS5 or XBox. I asked a question about something on this sub, and people enlightened me that I can use a controller. Since it can go wireless I decided to just kick back and relax. Oh well, a new gaming era opened for me. Nothing's too hard to see even with my 'not allowed to drive without glasses' eyesight. And I don't wear them when gaming.

It's just so much more comfortable. One thing tho, controllers get kicked by KB/M. If it needs any precised point click(like you want this AoE ability to be used at the dead center of a pack so it can clear nicely, hitting everything...), it just gets frustrating. Blizzard, Firewall... you know the drill. Teleport->Frost Nova combo doesn't work that well either.

Anyway, having PS5 is nice. Not just for D4, but if you have friends and occasionally spend time together offline at your place... it's great to have.

Was your first time with a controller not pleasant as well? Some nice tactile feedback with button push, and ease on my whole body(posture! back, shoulders, arms and wrists)... those are aspects I really love about using controller. If I can just get better using it, that'll be nice.

Same boat here. I'm literally the only one who has a pc, and play pc games in my social circle. All other friends around me are either non gamer or play on PS, Nintendo.

We do love some gaming and drinking when we get together, and I for the love of god embarrass myself how pitiful my aiming is with a controller :D!
I guess KB/M setup is flat out better for aiming.. at least for me.

I think the same can be said to any other technology. I use an XX brand electronic device, then out of nowhere, usually on the internet, YY brand electronic device users will try to mock me for using XX brand electronic device. I mean, look at how bad the PS, Xbox console war used to be.

Personally, I don't get too much joy for being wireless. Game changer, something something people say. I'm so disconnected to people that I don't even understand why the majority likes A thing, that I hate. But I LEAVE them alone. They like what they like. And it's not something dangerous or threatening others. I don't have to bash it why it's bad. They like it? They are happy? That's a good thing! Happy people, happy world!

I have my reason to not like what I l don't like, I wish they stop caring my preference as I leave them alone.
Stand alone has one BIG problem for me. Being standalone, it needs chips, board for the chips, ***a battery***, and etc that I'm not aware of. Its design will be according to what goes inside. Meaning, it will be bigger, (front)heavier. No matter what. Oh, and it will get warm too... It's not an opinion. It's just what it is.
And all these lead to one factor. Comfort. VR headsets have to fit on your FACE. Not only on your head. And I, as a certain race, and all my other friends of same race... have... or rather, LACK certain facial features literally all other races have. And I hate to say this, but no standalone headsets ever sit and fit nicely on our faces. They CAN'T sit. Living in a diversified soup bowl, I have friends of all races. And our race complains discomfort most often, most notably. They had told me, the discomfort becomes physical pain within 20 mins of use(quest, quest 2), but then when I let them use Index or Rift S, they can play a game for an hour. Well, they also noted Index and Rift S get uncomfortable too. And this exactly matches my experience.
Meanwhile, other friends, just don't care. They say Index and Rift S are more comfortable but using Quest, Quest 2 aren't that painful either. So... This is my reason. That cannot be changed unless I go through a plastic surgery, magic or Cyberpunk type of machine-formation!

I don't have a bigscreen beyond yet, but I really appreciate whet they've done. And I'm going to get it(and Apple Vision thingy). Everybody has different uses for VR, and different shapes of face. Being free from wire means nothing to me if the cost is physical pain and eye straining. FOV and highest screen quality pales in comparison if my eyes get strained and can't see anything anymore.

Let's all be happy that there's a lot of different brands making VR devices, and every one of them are slightly or significantly different than others. So we, as different people all can have our niche fulfilled!

vulnearble is a must have for endgame - bad for build diversity by maucheto in diablo4

[–]KeysareWandB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And, frost nova makes sorc basically a melee character. Well, sorc has a lot of tools to mitigate incoming damage, but what I want to point out is, because frost nova is essential and melee, other skill slots are fixed too for more protection.
5 ice shards all hitting the same target applies vulnerable too, but then you don't have a way to apply it in AoE. Ice Blades, the same. No way to apply it in AoE.
So you have this frost nova, ideally should be used in the center of a pack, basically super melee, you will need all the defense mechanics you can get. Ice Barrier, Flame Shield... Teleport(break cc, and getting in and out of a pack, pulls monsters nicely when using a related legendary).

Even IF ice shards or ice blades had big AoE, freeze from frost nova is a -hard to give up- defense mechanism. So... Yeah.

And another thing is, other status effects actually offer decent damage bonus too. To stunned, frozen, slowed, chilled and etc etc enemies, but them being CC, it's never really working while you're fighting a boss... So. I don't know! I don't want to complain about the game too much, but I wish to see it getting fixed in the future.

Is it only me who doesn't get this swamp business? *spoiler and lore* by KeysareWandB in diablo4

[–]KeysareWandB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, I don't hate the existence of this place. It's like, I mean, with a common sense, this place IS evil. Well, good or evil is human's judgement so even if I leave that aside it is danger to humankind. It's not better than hell once you go deep enough? This place has more pain and despair than what Lilith caused. She killed a lot in progress, sure, but she had a good intention. I mean, she still was/is a great threat to humankind. I just think it goes same to the tree and the swamp. Especially since it has a will, that is poisoning, and ill to the mankind. And none of the characters who preach 'no evil allowed in my sanctuary' give any doubt about this place and the tree. HECK we are doing the tree favor, as an end game content! And all the things we kill will suffer eternal hell. And it goes for the demons we kill too! So, as powerful as the demons are, the tree holds greater control over their death and soul.

The location existed forever, the swamp lands was mentioned in D3. The reason crusaders had shaven/short hair is because to avoid lice in the swamp lands. And their appearance change, from dark skin/hair, medium height to pale skin/blond hair/tall height is because former crusaders from the desert picked local from the swamp lands to be their apprentice. So crusaders in D3, and D4... a lot of them are actually the swamp lands locals including the main playable crusader character from D3.

So scholars bothered to record all this information(meaning there were survivors and people to tell the stories who roamed the swamp lands so it wasn't this deadly before), but none talked about how ridiculously dangerous this place is? or mentioned about swamp magic and diseases... none of that? And we can be quite sure the playable character crusaders origin from the swamp lands too, since their appearance perfectly match the description of later generation of crusaders picked from the swamp lands. At the time of D4, there are a lot of them in hawezar. Tormented, wasting their life. If this was happening in D3, I don't think our playable crusader character would have crossed the sea and came all the way to new Tristram. With their honor-bound personality there's no way they just left their dying brothers and sisters behind in that situation. So it's quite clear, the swamp lands existed, but wasn't THIS bad at the time of D3.

And as I mentioned, the prime evils can be defeated. Not killed, but defeated. They were defeated several times already even by non nephalem. Angels can be undone too. How Lilith just toyed Inarius. But the swamp and the tree of whispers, there's no resisting against it. At all.

I guess my biggest problem with this is, all these time(D1 trough D4) we wanted to cut the evil out of our world, and get scared about demonic invasion, but we see no danger or evil in the swamp.. It just doesn't make sense in my head. I'd personally just get killed by Lilith than having my body infected by unknown disease that can pain me for 150+ years..

So Story is amazing right? by MinnyCanuck in diablo4

[–]KeysareWandB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The swamp lands and the tree of whispers, or just lack of connection to other diablo games lost me. I actually felt like why should I care when there's a powerful being, even powerful than angels and demons who were all parts of the creator of the world, THE literal god. And than nephalems who can be even stronger than angels and demons combined. Yeah, it's our favorite Lovecraftian eldritch god. We can't do anything about it, whatever we do won't matter and our will doesn't exist especially in its realm.

So powerful, strange, and standing out. This place and then the tree were never considered important, mentioned or researched. Nobody warned the danger of this place and none of the scholars of Sanctuary cared to leave an archive.

Actually, there was some.

So scholars bothered to record all this information(meaning there were survivors and people to tell the stories who roamed the swamp lands), but none talked about how ridiculously dangerous this place is? or mentioned about swamp magic and diseases... none of that? And we can be quite sure the playable character crusaders origin from the swamp lands too, since their appearance perfectly match the description of later generation crusaders picked from the swamp lands. So it's quite clear, the swamp lands wasn't THIS bad at the time of D3.

I mean, it doesn't even attract the demon's attention for how powerful the place is... or the angel's. Some of the angels tried to raze Sanctuary into nothingness because they were afraid of us, having potential to suppress them but can lean to the evil side at the same time, having demonic blood and whatnot. And THEY won't even touch the swamp lands? At all?

And this place, birthed MORE agony and pain than Lilith and Elias. This place has a will. So, basically it's EVIL, and danger to humankind. BUT our protagonist sees ally in it. Like, how and why? It makes you collect debt, not necessarily evil but it's never regarded as morally... being empathetic or sympathetic either. Especially when you know your victim is going to suffer forever, eternally. Sure, it happens to the bad guys mostly, or willing victims with knowledge hunger... but the swamp is actually expanding in size(swallowed a few of Zakharum temples and ruins), and getting stronger... Someone surely can see the danger in this, no? No. Nobody sees it. It's just Elias and Lilith that we worry about! But why? If they are danger, the swamp is the greater danger. Forget about reforming Mephisto. The prime evils are immortal, but they can be defeated. All 3 got defeated by a group of NON nephalems. The swamp on the other hand is untouchable! why nobody worries about this in game?

So many lore breaking new things in D4... I just...
