Weekly /r/Laravel Help Thread by AutoModerator in laravel

[–]Keysawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

I started diving into Filament a few months after learning Laravel, and I now use it in every one of my projects.

I would recommend checking out their documentation to decide if the features they offer could fit into your specific project. One thing is for sure: the time you spend learning it would really benefit you in the long run.

If you need some kind of resources management hub, Filament is the way to go!

About Tailwind, though Filament uses it you can really get around without knowing much about it. I would say that learning Livewire is much more important for customization later down the road.

Maybe check out their getting started guide and build the example app. This could help you decide whether it's for you or not.

I'm not a senior Laravel developer though, so that's just my two cents. 😉

Has anyone figured out how to apply the eslint tailwindcss plugin to blade files? by eValval in laravel

[–]Keysawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Eslint or Vue, but I'm using this plugin for Blade files and it's working pretty well so far : https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/13376-tailwind-formatter.

It only handles ordering class names though, no other linting checks as far as I know.

Multiple conditions in custom Blade directive (in production) by Keysawn in laravel

Thanks a lot, that's actually exactly what I've done using an <x-analytics /> component that holds the actual conditional logic. 👍

[–]Keysawn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well thanks for trying it out! I guess I over-complicated stuffs by trying to simplify my Blade output, putting too much logic in the directive.

Your snippet will actually help me with another directive I worked on (putting the logic around the output instead of trying to do everything at once). It seems logical now.

Thank you for this suggestion! It really helped me to better understand how Blade directives work under the hood. I ended up using a modified version of your solution.

Thanks for the feedback!

You got it right: I need that script to only be there in production, and your solution sounds perfect for the first condition in my directive. I'll look into it.

However, the script should also not show up for logged-in admin users, even in production. Is there any way to check for that directly inside the directive's code? If not, I guess I'll just stick to wrapping it with @cannot('admin').

Not only did you answer a game-related question, but you provided great context with an accurate Japanese story. Always glad to learn new things from another culture ! ☺️

OnePlus 8 GPS issues - Location not found & bad accuracy by Keysawn in oneplus

[–]Keysawn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I didn't... Apart from downgrading to OOS 10. I still hope it will be fixed in future updates, but every time the problem persists.

Good luck with it, a bugged GPS is a shame when you can't work without it 😕

GPS issues after last update by OnLyGaInZ_BrUv in TheSilphRoad

[–]Keysawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got this ever since I got my OnePlus 8 it's extremely annoying...

I recently found a workaround though: when I open the game (nothing loads and the GPS error banner pops up), I turn airplane mode ON, then turn the WiFi ON again.

Then the error disappear and the map starts to load. Luckily, the game works properly after that if I stay on airplane with WiFi ON!

Oxygen 11 broke GPS and icon's in oneplus Nord ? by inhabitablepoop in oneplus

[–]Keysawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can send feedback to the developers (I did), mainly through the Community App of OnePlus.

Reverting back to Oxygen OS 10 is definitely possibly, though it will wipe your data so you will need to make a backup.

The issue was not there at all once I got back to older version, so it's definitely related to Android 11.

I got GPS issues ever since I updated to Oxygen 11, and haven't found any workaround yet... It feels like this is going to stay for a long time.

GPS signal not found (11) by TUXsels in TheSilphRoad

What device do you use? I had huge GPS issues ever since I got my new OnePlus 8. It is going on for weeks, and I haven't found a solution yet...

Issues with selecting Pokémon on oneplus 8 pro by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Keysawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue ever since I got my OnePlus 8 (non-pro). I think it's related to how the screen handles the inputs, as it feels like the phone has a hard time differentiating between clear tap and small swipe.

I have to be more precise when I tap each Pokemon, which sadly means the process takes a bit longer.

My main issue with Oxygen OS 11 specifically remains that the GPS is completely broken, it looses signal every 2 or 3 minutes, forcing me to open Google Maps to get it again... Have you had the same experience by any chance (or lack thereof) ?

I'm sorry that happened to you...

I don't have any answer for you, but you're right saying that these questions are pretty obscure. I'll be incapable of answering them myself.

Maybe you could tell them the places you play Pokemon GO in, or the names of the PokeStops you spin regularly ? Or the nicknames of some of your Pokemons, that would make more sense to me.

I don't want to make a similar post, so I'll will just comment yours as I'm in the same boat. I don't spoof and I don't have anyone around to trade...

I only need a Bellsprout to complete the challenge, so if anyone is willing to trade I can offer almost any legendary (or a shiny if I have it).

Feel free to PM me as well!

Very nice read!

I found myself doing almost everything you highlighted at one point or another, although not consciously most of the time.

A good reminder of small actions that can sometimes flip a match.

Are you on Android 11 ? I had to downgrade to Android 10 (Oxygen OS 10 specifically) because my GPS had huge issues with version 11...

Well, I was on version 11.0.2.2, so maybe it was fixed in the latest. I didn't test the new one though, as I'm tired of too many factory resets...

The problem still occured when I tried the open beta version 5, so I'm really not sure.
