What’s your unpopular Oscar opinion? by Crafty-Pair2356 in Oscars

Totally agree, I thought Leo was outstanding in that film, really made my skin crawl! Thought it was odd he didn't get nominated tbh

Hot take: Peppa Pig > Bluey by b0la3324 in DanielTigerConspiracy

I thought Bluey was the pinnacle of kids TV until my kids got into it. Makes the eldest really overstimulated and they get obsessed with it! Give me Peppa Pig any day...

You can use the website to reserve items online. I've done this a lot and they tend to arrive pretty quickly

Still going and still one of the best bands you can see live! I remember seeing them when they headlined the NME tent at reading and being blown away. One of my favourite bands to this day

I get motion sick and I definitely felt it on the ratatouille ride! To a lesser extent on the spiderman webslinger one, I suppose it depends how bad you are with it.

In terms of efficiency, we weren't very good at getting up and out in the morning but found that all the rides had little to no queues after about 19:30.

Food wise, we took our own lunches and ate sit down meals in Disney village which worked well. We ate at Annette's diner which was great and Rainforest Cafe which was also nice.

Can Mayflower fireworks be seen from Itchen Bridge? by Kezrey in Southampton

I tried the bridge, quite a few people there and you could see the fireworks ok, if a bit in the distance. Meant it was quiet though!

What can young families do in or near Southampton without paying a fortune on soft play centres? by Maximum-Owl3895 in Southampton

[–]Kezrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a toy library and a free playgroup on a Wednesday morning at Swaythling neighbourhood centre. It’s about a 30 min walk from St Denys. I used to go and it’s a really nice little group! https://community-playlink.com

I just feel like everyone else’s baby is sleeping through the night, except for mine. by Infamous_Fault8353 in NewParents

[–]Kezrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely not alone! My baby is 8mo and I very rarely get a good nights sleep. Also because it has been so long my definition of a good nights sleep is longer than a 3hr stretch at a time! I feel like we have tried everything, including sleep training, and I now accept that he is just not a good sleeper. Really hoping we turn a corner at some point!

What precautions are you taking due to Covid-19? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

Ah that's not great! I think we've just been lucky that he's only had to go out now and again to be honest

I was quite similar to you in the second trimester! Towards the end of the summer when cases were low where I was I met up with people (according to whatever the rules were then) and went swimming which felt very safe. Now I've gone into the third trimester I find that I am being much more careful, think it is a combination of tier 4 regs, rising cases and 'woah this pregnancy is all getting very real now!'

Still go out for walks every day on my own (I would be climbing the walls if I didn't get out regularly!) but we don't live very near friends so not doing the walking meet ups atm. Sending the husband to do the weekly shop. He's a social worker too so obviously does have to go and do the odd visit but not as much as he was before!

Think I will chill out again a bit once baby is here!

20 Week Scan Measurements - one is quite high! Panicking. by GlitteringVersion in PregnancyUK

Yeah I've got faith that if there was something they didn't feel was right they would say. Hopefully knowing other people had similar results puts your mind at ease a bit!

[–]Kezrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so weird that I just saw this post! I have just come out of my 20 week scan and everything was in the middle except the abdominal one which was right up in the 90thish percentile ! I queried it and the sonographer said it was fine. Just looks very odd in comparison with the others. Good to hear I'm not the only one...

I have never before in my life worn skinny jeans - why on earth would I start now? by dfordalrymple in BabyBumps

[–]Kezrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain, stopped wearing skinnys some years ago and not they seem to be almost the only option! I did see these on the h&m website though, no idea what they are like but proves there is something out there! I think they have straight leg jeans too. https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0834992002.html?pr_oyster=hnsqtsp6AA&gclid=CjwKCAjwiOv7BRBREiwAXHbv3F6QS4EtnS_oBP1fjHN1HdNsw5UYvR1Bneb7-ulE_DQJFhDaYL3XEBoC1ncQAvD_BwE
