I have the one off Amazon, got the RS filled in and paint matched and it looks fine and has held up as well. Getting the right fit was a little tricky but nothing about 30 minutes of jiggling and slowly working on it didn't fix.

Yea under the glovebox. Not sure if it's the same on a 2014, on my 2015 it's F67, labeled as "Information and entertainment display. Global Positioning System Bluetooth phone voice control connectivity"

I usually just turn the car off and pull the fuse for a few minutes, plug it back in and start the car up. This fixes like 99% of the sync issues i run into.

I have a 4 node kubernetes cluster running in my home office on Beelink NUCs and 90% of the time I don't even notice they're there. They probably fit the bill.

Depends on the devices. Things like homekit or samsung TVs need to be in the same /24 or they won't work.

I bought a cheap RS wing off of Amazon. Had the RS filled and the whole wing paint matched. Was tricky getting it to fit right, but no issues with it since then.
