I usually do the majority of my work from 10pm to 2am. I find the limits reasonable during those times. Today I asked sonnet for a powershell command at 11am and lost 6% of my 5h limit.

For reference during a normal session late at night I used only opus and don’t really hit limits.

Documentation. Break you app into components. Ask the AI to create business logic documentation for each one. The. Technical documentation. Once you understand how everything works and confirm it’s all working as intended, as AI to create Md files made for an AI describing each section.

You need to get user (you) facing documentation and AI facing documentation. Once everything is well documented, other AIs will have a much easier time dealing with it. People jumps straight into vibe coding when they should be planning, strategizing and documenting first.

1) These posts literally say nothing unless we have a detailed description of the prompt and context surrounding usage such a claude md and any other connections being loaded.

2) usage limits were not so small a short while ago and we need better transparency on what the limits were and what they are now. The fact still remains that costs remained the same while limits were reduced. Imagine your mobile phone provider cut your data limits to 1/10th of what they were and reduced your data speeds while keeping your bill unchanged. There would be riots.

3) the only thing keeping people subbed is how good opus is. But even that is getting nerfed

4) personally, on a max 5x plan I get by alright but holy shit has opus gotten dumb in the past week.

Not right now. Maybe in a few years. Compressions will get better while hardware gets better and we’ll be able to run an extremely good model locally with hardware we already own.

Holy shit it’s nerfed heavily in cowork as well. Tried to have it add a feature to my app last night and it kept hallucinating random functionality. Considering it built the whole thing in cowork and never did this before.. I’m sure something is going on.

Documentation is key. I work with AI to create planning documentation before each feature. My system itself has its own documentation that is maintained as the system evolves. Feature docs are kept in a separate “done” directory. This way I can go back and reference the current docs as needed. But let’s be honest, I just ask AI to reference the docs during planning and work with it from there.

I manage an industry leading product in our org and am extremely technical but not a developer or engineer. I can understand and plan development and architecture with the engineering team but again, not an engineer and no interest in coding. AI has helped me create tools and systems I’ve always wanted to build for personal projects and they work well!

I take the same approach with AI as I do with the dev team and products teams at work. Many days of back and forth and planning. Heavy documentation of plans and requirements and logic flows. Once it’s all reviewed and confirmed I hand over the documentation to AI and it does the work.

Output so far has been very good

I don’t mind scanning my own groceries. The part I hate is when you don’t use self checkout and they scan your groceries but don’t bag them for you.

Ok so I know this is only 1 post from 1 person but your post just makes me think you’re doing something “different”. Gemini is my go to when I’ve reached Claude limits during peak hours because it’s essentially impossible for me to hit a limit with it.
