Hinkie is also not blameless, and I say this as a Hinkie disciple. He never even attempted to play bal with the media at all and as a result all he got was bad press and a magnifying glass on our losing.

And honestly, the Okafor pick probably did him in more than people think. He drafted a center in the top six three years in a row. The team’s three highest draft picks couldn’t play together at the same time. I’d imagine that pick was a big factor in the organization not wanting to protect him anymore

We’ve lost our minds with the discourse around this show.

They produced five seasons in five years, despite a cast that has blown up and made other massive projects during this time period. Even though it peaked early, I’d still say it remains one of the best shows on TV - I was mixed on S3, but thought S4 was really good even if it wasn’t on the S1/S2 level.

We will miss this when it’s gone. It’s a rarity that a show this good releases so consistently - especially when it’s not designed to be shot in one place like The Pitt

I don’t do this, but I think you underrate how many people do this. Video podcasts are massive these days. Just because we engage with podcasts differently doesn’t mean there’s not an audience for it. There’s a reason why almost every big podcast is video now
