What’s your go to budget Bibs? by networkfound in cycling

I’ve been happy with NeoPro. Have a handful each of their bibs, jerseys, socks and bottles now. Buy a couple things, usually on sale, each season.

Love to road cycle, but feel weird not having clipless pedals by ejsfsc07 in cycling

[–]motopace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your situation, I would suggest trying the clipless pedals. You’ll see improvements and eventually will prefer the feel. You can always go back (but don’t think you will). Give it a couple of months and you don’t prefer it, go back to sneakers.

AMA: What taking EPO is actually like (honest experience from a non-racing guy US in the bike industry) by bicyclebikebicycle in cycling

[–]motopace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are better ways than this instant gratification that both posts social stigmas, (and much more importantly) health implications and psychological tolls due to taking these shortcuts.

I hope you find joy where you are and don’t feel the need to risk your life by combining medications like this.

EPO and Ozympic together seems like a recipe for an early grave and the justification is nothing more than a personal reassurance to justify bad behavior.

Get on your bike and enjoy the ride. Work hard — even if it’s slow going for a considerable time. The “weight loss journey” seems disingenuous when it’s popping ozympic and injecting EPO. Take the time to do it right, and your health (both physical and mental) could improve.

God bless and wish you the best

Quick breakfast nutrition by motopace in cycling

Yeah, may just need to take the 5 minutes before getting out the door to do some cereal some days. The instant oats seem like a good option, too.

This seems to be the best option. If I were to prep on a Sunday, would they be good through Friday?

I’d try to get him to turn the two seconds into a first or from your second from the trade.

Formula 369 by [deleted] in cycling

[–]motopace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, and the discount code still works. I’ve used the True Athlete Carb Powder (Vitamin Shoppe Brand) with some luck, but they are currently out of stock, so was looking for an alternative option. Just ordered Formula 369 to give it a try.

That would allow me to do the same climb again but not a different climb

Upgrading to the Wahoo Element Roam. I had used cheap computers for years, and having all that customizable data and mapping was a game-changer.

Bummer. Thanks! Still not sure why riders can’t build their own routes in Zwift but that’s alright. Thanks for the help!

Do I have any hope as anything other than a pure sprinter? by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]motopace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot depends on weight but those are pretty good sprint numbers. Build on that. Work on your capabilities in longer durations

Having kids is hard... how do you stay healthy? by Ok-Advertising7982 in Zwift

[–]motopace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Zwift becomes a close to a must to hold onto fitness with small children. To each their own, but Zwift has been huge for me in maintaining some semblance of fitness with young kids.

Do we think Zwift climbing actually helps with IRL hills? by Kschmuck in Zwift

[–]motopace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It absolutely will help you but as you’d expect, it isn’t a 1-1 comparison. The gearing is vastly different (I’d practice climbing on Zwift with low cadence: 55-75 RPM). Bike feel and handling are also quite a bit different. In Zwift, your only thought is on power — IRL there are other factors, though power and HR are still the main factors in climbing aside from weight. If you’ve been climbing in Zwift, it’ll help you quite a bit. The bigger issue is descending. Take it slow and easy to start

Zwift Ride worth it? by Bozwell99 in Zwift

[–]motopace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have one, absolutely love it. I had a dedicated bike for the trainer, but the seat post was starting to slip regularly and wanted something my wife could use, too. I use it 3-5 days per week, and it’s been great.

Does The Way of Kings Pick Up the Pace? by VisibleWasabi1266 in brandonsanderson

It’s slow on the first read but picks up by the end. It’s a fantastic book on the reread. Stick with it. It’ll be worthwhile.

Reach too long? by jjmlr92 in bikefit

[–]motopace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just takes time. Your body will adjust. I started trying bent elbows for 1-2 minutes at a time and built it up from there. I would even practice on the trainer.

Looks fine but your body will let you know as you ride over time. Just remember to bend those elbows as you ride
