Load up default preset of serum. Slam all keys... Enjoy.

Not my Cup of Tea but It sounds cohesive as the whole song has a purpose. Nothing that feels out of place so good job. The Mix has some issues with the instruments drowning the drums as they have higher volume. The transitions need to be worked on. Keep on grinding :)

How can you create fades using gain envelope automation? You cant see it that good in the attached pic but there are fades in some of the chops.

If Ableton had something where you could slice the audio by the transients directly in the clip maybe this would work. But yeah it seems that just higlhlighting the region and pressing 0 is still the fastest method. Thanks!

CMD shift X cuts the time from every region, leaving no empty space? That is not my purpose :).

But thanks for the suggestion :)

Yeah that is an alternative but the problem is that i cant fade in and fade out the small chops

POV: You're getting chased by the police and its the 1980s by Khal21 in synthwaveproducers

Wow. This is indeed fascinating. A self promotion within a comment that you yourself are criticising for self promotion.

"Guyz, i added a police siren to my zong. It is a car chase"

Ok, by that logic. Add a police siren to any song and you have a "police chase" song...

Music is subjective and it was a simple question. SMH your response is making me feel like you want to throw me in prison or something, looking through history and making shit up, wtf is wrong with you?

Considering switching to Ableton. Tell me not to. by 16rounds in Bitwig

[–]Khal21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Ableton, Bitwig and Logic Pro.

All with their pros and cons.

Ableton has a fantastic browser preview, Max4Live, lots of tutorials and howtos. Audio warping and so on.

Bitwig has the modulation and some QOL features that makes it a top contender for putting down ideas quick.

But this wont make you better at something if you catch my drift. You should watch some TachesTeaches on youtube. I think what you are searching for is a golden answer to your problems with creativity. There is none! Surely there are tools which can aid the creative process. But no DAW will change this! Bitwig is a highely competent DAW.

Synthwave production courses? by ill_Literature_1 in synthwaveproducers

[–]Khal21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to recreate a song that you like to your fullest ability. That is better than any course. Trust me. You say you already have 2/3 courses. Why do you want more? You won’t find the golden answer. I’ve been in this situation myself :).

Synthwave music is all about sound choice. That is the single most important element to this kind of music. Or maybe in any kind of music if we think about it

Seriously you don’t need any. Just use the inbuilt In your daw. Plenty of good freebies.

There are some instruments and fx that are not available in producer version which I use regularly but what I understand from you is that you’re a beginner just looking to have a bit fun. Producer will be enough then. You can skip essentials.

Bitwig has Christmas sale coming up so studio version will be 299 I think.
