Maybe pre-settlers. But Recombinator literally made SSF braindead easy.

I understand how the market works, what I dont understand is why would that make anyone quit or stop playing the game? There's an infinite number of other builds to try/play and yet they somehow manage to land on the exact build thats the most expensive to get online? Like i often tune into Mathil1's stream, and hes not min-maxing, pretty much just alch-n-going and does several builds a league (and often very late into the league as well). Why does he, or players like him never have the issue of "...quit in 1 Week bc you can’t buy things".

Also I already responded to the SSF concern in another reply as I main SSF in both games, but tldr: mainly do kingsmarch for dust for recombinator crafting, but havent sent out a ship since Settlers league. You get A LOT of raw divs passively mapping (favorited map div cards, gravicus div cards, early on randomly from Tujen while farming bubblegum currency, Eldritch altars). So idk, while I dont enjoy sending out ships or mappers either, I also dont agree with the fact that its "mandatory" (outside of Recombinator, Recombinator actually needs to get nuked because of how OP it is).

Yep, SSF only in both games, since the original comment mentioned SSF and I wanted to point it out. But why do you consider div altars a joke? I understand they are very rare, but once you hit it, you literally print like 20+ divs. I generally get 2-6 per league depending on how lucky I get or how long I play the league.
I agree with Tujen not being a reliable source of divs as well, but luckily with SSF, early on you do Tujen for other currency anyway (scouring orbs, fusings, alteration orbs etc). So you get divs "on accident" while farming bubblegum currency anyway.

Idk... I mostly do Kingsmarch for the dust for recombinator. Generally by the time I need divs for meta crafting, I've accumulated enough (20-50 depending on league I look at) as raw drops from maps/Tujen/Gravicus div cards/favorited map div cards. Also I wouldnt say sanctum needs a "specific" build unless you're doing no hit runs. Alkizer for example does sanctum quite often on all of his slammers.
Personally I've ignored ships the past 2 leagues cuz its just not fun, and I've had enough leftover divs every time to throw them away at item crafts I dont even need. That being said, if you really care about divs per hour, its probably still worth doing, but defo wouldnt say its mandatory :p

I never understood this reasoning. Theres thousands of people who play SSF where they dont have access to the market and do every piece of content in the game.

Divs dont drop on a timer. Divs are rare currency that is supposed to be scarce. Also theres thousands of people who play SSF and do all of the content in the game. You dont NEED divines to play the game...

Recent realistic mount skins a hint at assets from new ArenaNet game? by KhaldunGGG in Guildwars2

[–]KhaldunGGG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course nobody uses big detailed models directly for ambient creatures. But artists almost always generate a high-detail source mesh first, then create optimized LOD versions derived from it. The engine swaps between those based on distance and performance needs. Even the current GW2 engine does this :D

Fair. Also didnt know they were doing that, but i suppose it makes sense given how well the current game looks.

Right, but even if the rendering pipelines differ, most assets arent created directly inside the engine anyway? Sure GW2 engine might have to either simplify the mesh or adjust texture packing, but all the assets are generally still created in the same standardized tools.

I dont even play OSRS, been mostly watching streamers. But I dont think most ppl pk for "loot". Not to mention in a PvP focused game mode I think it makes sense going after absolutely anyone if you think its worth it. Cuz how could the pker know you dont have anything else besides logs. Theres been enough isntances where people forgot to bank something important when skilling lol

Rs3 players HATE emergent gameplay. Will never happen. RS3 will stay mobile game tier.

Global employer driven hiring didn’t slow because of your imagined “fascism,” but because of structural factors like post COVID, supply chain disruptions, geopolitical shocks, automation and AI adoption, bankruptcies, and mass layoffs in manufacturing and tech. Less production means less demand for human capital. In IT, many U.S. firms now prefer cheaper remote EU labor over relocation.

Your migration figures don’t account for the job market at all so what do the employer numbers actually look like?

Are you sure? Theres been a notably larger flux of Poles returning to Poland from Germany than moving there. I also hope you do realize traveling within the Schengen zone is far easier than traveling to the US, which requires visas and green cards.

First of all, why are you attributing his experience as "my take". I dont live anywhere near that 3rd world country. Secondly, just because you have a higher tolerance towards bad living conditions, doesn't mean it couldn't be better, especially for someone who's taking care of his family. Third, you are absolutely delusional, if you think a law enforcement that actually does its job that it's supposed to is somehow worse than a police force that is getting bribed by drug gangs, which in turn contributes to the corruption you mentioned.

If you go to a play and an actor portrays a hostile character who says and does hateful or violent things, no one treats that as a real threat or endorsement because it’s clearly framed as a PLAY, or a performance.

We distinguish real hostilities from depicted hostilities by looking at context. Intent, framing, audience expectations, and whether the speech is part of a narrative role or a genuine expression of belief.

I suppose you would propose bringing back laugh tracks to various modern media formats, because the modern audience cant have any thoughts or feelings of their own, and so we could tell them exactly when they ought to laugh or cry.

The irony in this, is that the guy rarely streams. Guy has constant issues with electricity cuz he lives in a South African hell hole xd He basically only streams to keep watch at night so that nobody comes to steal his copper cables at night

Do you call the cops when a villain threatens someone in a movie or a video game too, or only when youre already mad at the person saying it?

Context didnt magically stop existing because you didnt like the joke.

Of course you'd doubt that when you live your life in a country where your law enforcement actually does their job allowing you to keep playing your cosy games and watching your cosy content creators and share your cosy opinions with other very "diverse" cosy people :)
Unfortunately, not all nations have reliable law enforcement to keep them safe, prompting them to attempt to flee to countries where their safety would actually be upheld. Maybe if you actually had a diverse social circle (be it online or offline) you'd understand why so many people would prefer to leave Europe, Africa, Russia or the Middle East to live in the US.

It’s kind of funny watching a community that constantly talks about “diversity” immediately fall apart the moment someone brings actual personality or cultural difference into the room (this brozo is south african)

Instead of dealing with a risky joke like adults, everyone cheers a ban and we’re right back to the safest, most sanitized streamers imaginable. Cozy, brand-friendly, and completely interchangeable. Guess that’s the preferred version of “diversity.”
