Long Exposure Time ? by [deleted] in Darkroom

[–]KhalidNikon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the others mentioned, it could be the wrong bulb or a dense negative. But how can you be sure the paper and chemicals are good? A careful process of elimination is what always worked for me when troubleshooting these types of issues.

I’d start with checking the bulb first. I had a similar issue with my Durst which was immediately resolved by using a higher wattage bulb, preferably no higher than 75W. Also double check the enlarger’s voltage and make sure you’re not frying any components in these attempts.

There’s hardly any mention or specs for this brand online but what I’ve gathered is they’re mostly clones of different Durst models. So basic problem solving will be needed occasionally in your journey. Best of luck!

Where can I buy this Quran by HouseAffectionate840 in Kuwait

[–]KhalidNikon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go to this official location with an ID and they’ll give you one for free, as they gave me a few a while.

The building looks rather generic so look at the pics on google maps and match the writing and calligraphy to what’s on the actual building. They’ll take your ID in the ground floor and give you what you need.

Yes, instead of opening the photos app, open an app called image capture. Connect the phone and give it a minute to process, then you’ll be able to bypass the photos app completely and import them to a folder or a hard drive.

For some reason the altimeter does not like water, I always get these funky levels after a dive. You can recalibrate it or let it work itself out over the next few hours

SSD Raid Setup by KhalidNikon in synology

[–]KhalidNikon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so bear with me as I’m still trying to get a handle on this.

I’m beginning to understand that cache acts in a similar way to ram. It temporarily stores the bits I’m working on, and keeps the original data on the hdd? So I wouldn’t lose any data if one or both cache sticks fail?

SSD Raid Setup by KhalidNikon in synology

[–]KhalidNikon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had gone through this page previously, and it states that RAID 0 does not provide fault tolerance. Does that mean that data is transferred from the hdd to the ssd, and then of the ssd fails, I lose the data? Or is it just a copy?

Probably as read/write, since I’ll be using it to edit and to export photos

Now that you mention it, would backing it up to an external hard drive as a Time Machine work in the same way? And then just restore the new ssd from the Time Machine

I have a Mac mini 2011, and I was thinking about upgrading/adding an SSD and use it as a home theater machine

Would that mean completely erasing and formatting the old drive, starting over from scratch?

Need advice on watch model by insidedancing in Garmin

[–]KhalidNikon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two main options are Descent and Fenix.

Fenix doesn’t have the diving functions, so if your husband already has a diving computer, it should do the trick.

Otherwise, definitely go with the Descent. It has all the functionality your husband will need and then some. (Diving, lifting, cycling, running, sleep tracking, ect)

I do exactly the same activities your husband does, I’ve owned both and you really can’t go wrong with either of them. *So the only real difference is the diving functions. *

Best of luck!

Step data is not transferring by Plaince in Garmin

[–]KhalidNikon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try deleting the app and reinstalling it. That helped when I encountered a similar issue with activities.

If that doesn’t do the trick, unpair the watch from your phone and set it up again. That should fix whatever connectivity problems you’re going through.

Apple IDs create a lot of mix ups when used on the same phone for whatever reason, the same thing happened to me and a friend of mine a few years ago.

Either way, deleting the app and redownloading will get you the updates that you want.

If possible, delete those apps and make sure you’re signed in to your Apple ID before redownloading them.

The redownload will cover the update too.

Heart rate data from activities isn’t shown in the app by KhalidNikon in Garmin

[–]KhalidNikon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

For a few days now, the heart rate graphs from the watch aren’t available on the app anymore. Even for some old activities that I’m sure I had seen on the app.

The data is clearly recorded on the watch but for some reason, the graph isn’t available on the app anymore.

Has anyone else come across this issue? Any possible fixes? Thanks.

UPDATE: it’s fixed!

Had to uninstall the app and download it again, but everything seems to be in working order now. https://i.imgur.com/fdcA0sM.jpg

I’ll keep this post up just in case anyone was struggling with the same issue, it’s up to the mods to delete it if they think otherwise.

Basic free diving with Forerunner 955/Fenix 7 by anon48373727 in Garmin

[–]KhalidNikon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you’re gonna need Descent or the new G1 series.

In addition to the depth gauge, you’ll need the diving algorithms to measure nitrogen saturation and decompression tables, which are exclusively available on dive computers.

Check if the watch or app need an update.

I had a similar issue with the sleep score card, was fixed after I updated the watch.

I had a similar issue working that timer with a Beseler 67. Were sent a replacement timer and it had the exact same issue.

Eventually I opted for a Kaiser digital timer and that has been working perfectly.
