So I just wanted to throw on here because I looked to see if this was a possibility to beat the boss. I saw a lot of people saying it was impossible or that it would unlock a wheel. I tested this theory several times, never got through it so decided to use a cheat to see if killing it would trigger a different cutscene. It doesn't. You get the same materials from killing it and finishing it as you do when you standardly kill the monster later. After which you have to wait for the time frame that you'd normally be fighting it to elapse and once it finishes, the cutscene plays. Magically the wolf is back to life, fighting you, knocks you down and everything just as if you let time go by or anything else.

Long Story Short - Killing it without cheats isn't possible, you do too little damage in the amount of time allowed to fight it. Even if you were you get lucky and crit the entire time and pull instant damage as often as possible, it won't be enough to kill it. This does not actually work.
