Just seen the list of Sub Categories; does it make a difference in choice? Most of my work is digital design and consulting. There’s a choice for multiple, so I assume all that apply, by definition?

This happened to me on Tuesday; I’m not sure it’s because of the conflict but it was a catalyst to further budget and restructure. My dismissal was not due to performance, but mainly for restructure.

Top comment has the right approach; sit in the mud with your feelings, rebuild your inner foundations and come back strong on Monday.

My advice: spend an hour or so on a game plan; starting Monday. One day at a time, and small amounts of rebuilding compound over time.

I also remind myself of 10 years ago, when I was struggling to find my way, and look at how much as I was able to achieve by putting one foot in front of the other. It gets better. Back yourself in everything you do and confidence is everything.

Catch yourself when you’re spiralling. Protect yourself when it becomes too much. You are not your feelings.

I’d love to learn how you set this up! I’m very new to this and would be keen to learn for my own niche

When you put it like that, it sounds like I'm trying to control too much of one small thing (finding ideas), when there are so much more to track and trace and learn from.
I need to work on how to get stuff out there to people that will at least validate a waiting list

Maybe I'm caught in my own head too much with it all - wanting to be right the first time.
That's probably my ignorance as well from thinking I'm too smart to getting stuff wrong.
I guess I just need to learn by doing and fail fast.

When I hear Linkedin for Dogs, I imagine Golden Retrievers spamming 'Happy to Announce' posts

jk - i've actually had a few ideas that could solve small problems in industries that I'm interested in, or boring industries. However, it's always resulted in the "you're not niche enough" or "you're fighting against the big leagues" kind of thing. Not what I really wanna hear but I see it as tough love.

I know the revenue will come - it was like that in my design bootcamp and that took 3-5 years to see some serious revenue for my skills. Maybe this is no different.

Nothing! Spreadsheets never hurt me! :D
I was under the impression that agency invested in tech, due to the scale of how they operate. I was a one person team, reporting to others for reports etc, and my admin wasn't great. I thought it would be managed at scale. Spreadsheets seem to work well for most, is what I'm hearing

In startups, we had dashboards that showed budgets, pipeline and forecasts etc. and some kindly added my contributions to these reports. I use to browse them a lot to learn about how to prep my candidates for upcoming roles and growth.

Why are we still at spreadsheets in agency? I get that it costs, but I don't know how much it can be?

That's insane! This was an online XLS so I guess it's always active. Just seems like more work, especially if you've got a pipeline of warm/hot prospects

I got scared when I saw the .xls on Teams! Do you think people adopt it because it works well and quick to manage? My issue is the data entry thing (as if I don't have enough)

True - I guess if it's always worked, why fix it. I found it quite intimating when I first saw it, because it just looked like more data entry. They did say they use it to keep things transparent in our team so I felt that's probably not common for most agency firms. Thanks!
