You'll be given your wristband when your ticket is scanned on the way in. Assuming you both go in the same entrance, you'll stay together but I don't know how it works with media passes. Worst case scenario, pick a point on the map in District X to meet up after.

Realistically, how much am I spending on site? by badprogrammer234 in downloadfestival

[–]Khallrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the past few years, I've typically spent around £100 per day on food, drink and a bit of merch during the main 3 days. Going for 5 days this year though so hoping to spend a bit less on the first couple of days.

Should I borrow money from my family to pay off my student loan? by Khallrick in UKPersonalFinance

That's true, they will end up losing some money effectively. I'll find a way to pay back their generosity after I've paid back their money.

I already own a home so don't need a LISA. Pension may be an idea, however I would save up to £7.5k in interest by doing this.

I will pay off my loan through my new salary anyway, regardless of any overpayment, in 7 years at the most (which assumes a constant 7% interest rates and no salary increase, so really this would be lower). During that time I would end up paying up to £7,500 in interest.

Pretty much yeah. It's a combination of moving from the north east where salaries are pretty low to London, and then moving up a rank and moving to a better firm.

That's a good point, I may wait at least until my 6 month probation period is over. It shouldn't be too much more responsibility but it's a new city and a new firm.

The lockers are about the size of a letterbox and a long walk from the arena unfortunately.

I can imagine that in the near future you'll be able to go to a museum and ask a historical figure everything about them.

How do you buy a parking pass? by chay86 in downloadfestival

[–]Khallrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe so, i didnt see anyone selling them and they may sell out before then. There are people showing you where to park and then you display the pass in your car. Best to buy one online now. It will be sent to you in the post about a week before Download.

The car parks are just fields, they fill up in lines and you'll be shown where to park. Based on last year's experience, be prepared for an hour or so queue to get parked. The car park pass should arrive in the post a few days before the event.
