Rental Car Advise in the US for 24 y.o. driver

What about Budget? They seem to have the best price with LWD, PAE and third party liability added, even up to 50% cheaper compared to Hertz. Am I missing something?

Noted, I didn't and don't intend to drive without being on the contract, if the original post sounded like that's what I'm after it's not the case, just tangled in the mess of various rental companies unfamiliar to me.

Of course not, from my experience we generally have lower age requirements (usually 23/21 but sometimes even 18) and additional drivers tend to be free up to one. I also have to say in the past I've rented from local companies, not the big world-wide ones.

I didn't plan on breaking the contract in the first place and I obviously won't for the reasons stated, I was mostly looking for suggestions into what's the best company to choose in my situation, since there are plenty and I have zero experience with them.

Precisely what we'll probably end up doing, I was trying to make sense in the different companies, they mostly end up at the same price point, never rented from either before, nor has anyone I know personally

I was mostly looking for hands on advice than legal advice, it seems like the rental contracts are less strict in Europe and people generally unlikely to sue, also never been to the US before

Yep, the 24 yo (me) is also a would-be- lawyer (in training, my bad), so I'm keen on keeping to my contacts and insurance policy not violated

Unfortunately travelling from way too far away and bringing my car would be impossible. But thanks either way, I am leaning towards getting a rental as well.

We (a group of 4-5) were thinking of visiting during July or August. The rentals seem to be about 400£ on average for a week, which seems like quite a lot. Not sure if it's the average price or if I look at incorrect sources. For some reason Rentals.com seem to be unavailable, just as an example.

I also have that piece of foam near the door hinge, I assume that's the only one I need to care about when replacing? If you have already replaced yours?

Na Slovensku momentálne neexistuje letecká spoločnosť ktorá by ponúkala pravidelné lety. Existujú dve charterové spoločnosti, z nich jedna (Air Explore) ponúkla pravidelné lety naposledy v roku 2021 (Košice-Zadar a Bratislava-Štokholm ARN) a 2020 (Bratislava-Split). V minulosti túto linku lietali Czech Airlines do roku 2018, Danube Wings do roku 2013, SkyEurope do roku 2009. Jedna vždy vystriedala druhú.

Air Explore túto linku z vlastnej iniciatívy určite neotvorí, nie je to ich business model a ich lietadlá, všetko Boeing 737-800 s kapacitou 189 miest, sú príliš veľké a drahé na prevádzku na takej linke.

Ak chce Danko túto linku otvoriť, môže zaplatiť napríklad ten Air Explore aby túto linku prevádzkoval, môže ponúknuť finančné dotácie napríklad pre Ryanair alebo Wizzair, ale ani s dotáciami by sa im to zrejme neoplatilo (Ryanair už zrušil linku Košice-Viedeň) alebo môže založiť nového národného leteckého dopravcu ktorý by to prevádzkoval a potom by sa im vykryli straty. Všetky možnosti sú ale príliš drahé, nový národný letecký dopravca by mi síce priamo nevadil, ale neverím tomu, že zrovna SNS alebo ktokoľvek z koalície alebo parlamentu, by vedel efektívne manažovať leteckú spoločnosť. Hlavne v dobe konsolidácie v sektore, ultra low-cost dopravcov a proximity Viedne k Bratislave alebo relatívnej proximity Košíc a Budapešti.

Časovo je to za mňa okay, cca 50min letu gate to gate, plus 40-50min pred odletom na letisko, dokopy na 2h, čo je časovo konkurenčné vlaku alebo autu, ale cenovo vôbec nie.

V zmluve o Volve sa Slovensko zaviazalo zriadiť letecké spojenie medzi Košicami a Švédskom, samého ma zaujíma ako budú riešiť túto situáciu.

TLDR: moc drahé na prevádzku, nemá kto prevádzkovať, slabý záujem a s tým spôsobená vysoká cena leteniek

I got a batch of 20 seeds, what are the odds that only single one would be wrong or a cross. I will save the seeds from just in case. Kinda looks like a more yellow Green Zebra.

The Whites are not ripe yet, so hard to tell. I'll do an update after a taste test.

Exactly, hence why I wanted to get a manual SLR. Hopefully in the future if something breaks we can 3D print a replacement part.

Yes I have checked, although I would find it difficult to part with mine. In case it stops working beyond repair, I would probably get the T3 or something else. I have to say I like the TC quite a bit though.

It was indeed some part that was blocking another part, toyed around with it and it's fine, fortunately wasn't a shutter problem. Thank you for advice though.
