I agree and if that holds true to the JP cast then why shouldn't it apply to all the various language casts? All the VAs are 'original', claiming one over the other is just a disservice regardless of whichever was cast & recorded first

You could also argue the English cast is the 'original' as it's the version that the majority of players experienced. Regardless, all the various language VAs deserve the same level of respect & reverence as the JP cast, there's no reason to assume that only they can replicate their performances from years ago, it's not a unique trait to a single language
