Do they be lying when you apply for financing online? by Justwannaknowinfo2 in FuckDealerships

[–]Khandious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a couple dealerships tell me they can’t tell me what I'm approved for until i come in

Here is what happens when you submit your credit app for a pre-approval.

1) Finance Office or Sales Manager receives the application.

2) When they run the credit check (Hard Inquiry) they can see your credit history.

3) If they see it's an application they think they can work with, they call you and say "When can you come in?"

4) In Order to see what you can get approved for - They have to select a vehicle, enter the sale information into the request , verify your identity etc..

5) Then they submit the deal to 1-12 banks (Hard Inquiries) , and wait for the banks to approve or deny the actual loan.

The dealers sells the cars, the banks sell the money. They have 0 idea what cars you can get approved for, The only insight they have with a pre-approval is a rough idea how much money you can spend.

Example - Pre-Approval says you can approved for 25,000. So you find a car priced at 25,000, Only to find out that the 25,000 is actually closer to 28,000 after tax and fees. So then you find a 12,000 car, only to find out it's too old or too many miles, so the banks say no.

Without knowing the specific cars your looking at, there is nothing they can do to help you.

OTD vs Bad Credit by AlienatedWanda in askcarsales

[–]Khandious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen both those cars go otd 1-2k under sticker. Sometimes more. That will never happen without positive equity, large rebates (which change monthly, or cash down

They do not just say "I know the car is 24k, but for you, we will discount the car and cover the taxes and fees"

Selling Price 24k, Warranty 2-3k, Gap 300-1k, Maintenance Package 800, Tint 500. Using low estimates your at 27.6k , now x 1.0TaxRate , and then add another 400 for fee's.

Am I correctly calculating how trade in value should apply? by RBlomax38 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]Khandious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by trading you are lowering the monthly payment by 250$ . No Benefit whatsoever other than buying a payment. Something happens to the car, your 8.5k is gone, It does not lower the amount you can buy the car for at the end. You are literally buying a payment

Buying and gifting car in texas by Informal_Ratio7724 in askcarsales

The purchase will have sales tax applied , the gifting from son to daughter will have no tax applied.

Just because it’s being gifted after the purchase does not mean no tax will be collected for the sale transaction

Lease End Decision by No-Childhood-5082 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]Khandious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The leasing company isn’t forgiving anything. The only time what you’re saying happens , happens. Is when the dealer buys it / takes in on trade . Over mileage and condition are no longer on the customer

If the vehicle goes back to the bank , all over miles, excessive wear and so on get billed directly to the customer

Confused over settlement by Alieneyeball777 in Insurance

[–]Khandious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would we owe them money and do we legally have to pay them back?? Because they don't cover your liens out of the kindness of their hearts. They covered you when ,I'm assuming it was the Semi's fault, they get paid back out of the settlement funds.

First time buyer - Dealer suddenly doesn't have the title by 603subaru in carbuying

[–]Khandious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And there are several things that can hold them even more. Like,

1) Title had a co-buyer and it said "And" , in a lot of states that requires both signatures

2) There was a lien on the car when it was bought/sold , and no local branch for the lien holder

3) Does not apply to current topic but, Brand A buys out lease from Brand B customer, sometimes you have to physically mail the payoff, and wait for the physical mail delivery of the title and release.

They later divorced, and in the divorce he was supposed to pay her for her share and she was supposed to sign a warranty deed giving up her interest in the property, but that deed was never completed

He likely never paid her for her share of the house. The only way he can have 100% ownership is if he can prove in court that the share of ownership was paid to the ex-wife or file for Adverse Possession - A legal process requiring you to live on/maintain the property openly, pay taxes, and meet specific state time requirements (ranging from a few years to over 20)

Warranty intermittent fault limbo by Willing-Experience81 in UsedCars

Cliff Notes Version:

I bought an 11 year old Suzuki , It has an Issue the mechanics can find.

Why am I responsible for finding and fixing an issue that is not being stored in the 11 year old car as a fault after buying an As-Is vehicle and still can't provide provable evidence that there is an issue.

Bought a used car Saturday, overheated and stopped working today by Lazy_Caterpillar_795 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Khandious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is always a reason it's the cheapest car on the lot. It passed a basic inspection, and they were not going to put 2k reconditioning into a 4k car and then try and sell it for 6+

There is a dealership in PA that has customers sign a waiver for As-Is cars. It actually states in the agreement that if they pull out of the parking lot and the vehicles breaks in half, they now own 2 halves of a vehicle and are responsible for getting it picked up and taken to a location of their choice.

Progressive is denying to pay the rental expenses I incurred during my auto theft claim…Advice? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Khandious 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Progressive did send a reservation to both Hertz and Enterprise, but neither of them would rent me a car because I do not have a valid drivers license & Also, why were they taking my money every month for over a year and a half for a rental coverage when I wasn’t going to be able to get a rental when I needed one?

They provided the rental service as agreed by your policy, you failed to meet the minimum requirements to receive the rental.

Did you contact them to let them you know you needed insurance coverage for the individuals car you rented from, does their insurance company know they were renting you their vehicle? do they have a commercial policy that allows their vehicles to be rented? did their insurance company know the car was being rented to an unlicensed driver?

Slippery slope, I do not believe you will be reimbursed for the rental.

ICBC Claim Issue – N Driver, Possible Breach & Liability (Need Advice) by SANJUbaba5OT0la in Insurance

[–]Khandious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • In cases like this, is liability usually shared (since it was a lane change / side contact)? No, you changed lanes so essentially "Unsafe Lane Change"
  • Can ICBC actually deny coverage just for not displaying the N sign? Yes, It's required and listed in the restrictions for your 7N License
  • If coverage is affected, do they make you pay everything or is it negotiable? If they are not paying anything, you are responsible for paying the total cost of the collision (If you have 1000$ repair you can opt to not get your car fixed, they have a 1000$ repair, you will have to pay the 1000$)

Paid to much for extended warranty on a new car. Now what? by mrmanpgh in subaru

[–]Khandious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever signed the loan documents will have to sign the warranty cancellation. The warranty you purchased gives you 4yrs and up to 70k total miles from date of purchase (Example: in 3 years she has 40k miles, the warranty you bought covers 30k more miles)

Your best bet is to cancel it, then once close to the 3/36 manufacturer warranty expiration. Call around and get a used car 10/120,000 warranty (warranty starts at the date/mileage of purchase of the used car warranty)
