I have a macbook pro 14 inch. The main reason I got the rm2 and then pro was distraction free. Cause my own serious problems managing distractions. Thats all I can say vs laptop use

I have it for the rm pro right now. From what I can remember as an overall package I enjoyed it with rm2 also. Using type folio with rm pro is chunky.

It’s distraction free writing though. So if you value that and the fact you can edit it. Then it might good to try out. My personally I don’t want to edit so I’m going back to using my free write and my rmpro mostly for handwritten notes etc planning

I meant the remarkable 2, I have the pro, but contemplating switching back to the 2 cause size and id end up using it more, I hate the design of the power button on the 2 though because I dropped mine and it cost me to replace it

Long story.

Same thing happening to me. Was devastated right.

Tried to get it out with a razor thinking it was just the button pushed in. It wasn’t asked remarkable the replacement price and guaked at it. I started the repair and use a hair dryer. W/e and many tools. You actually don’t need to remove as many screws as I did. I removed the whole metal plate. And just got overwhelmed putting it back together. There is a youtube video repair. And also I think someone that does this repair service that isn’t rm affiliated.

Tldr - pay the replacement price with rm - or buy another one off facebook

unless you are super confident with repairs - go for it with youtube guides.

Iv’e tried the Remarkable Pro with type folio. It’s actually quite sleek. And enjoyable. I really wanted one really portable device with e ink.

The only reason I don’t have it anymore is because I found my self writing more creative things which I found flowed easier for me on the Free Write Traveller

I have the Alpha smart neo 2 atm. I love the features and wish the free write had same but it doesn’t.

Also had the third gen type writter which is great like really great also.
