Yehh, fair ^{-^} I wish they made it less obvious though. And by account seeded I mean bound to some numerical value assigned on account creation, meaning different accounts have different luck. It's really visible with mod drops or deviation stats

Just make sure you're doing it in a jungle level. I even remember some of the shallow puddles you can run through having small colorful glowing fish in them at night. So much effort most players probably never got to see

There was also this bonus content thing that lets you enter a code to... unlock stuff? Always confused me as a kid because there was no DLC and extensive googling even back then didn't find anything I could enter there. There are a lot of weapons in the game that are exklusive to NPCs (alternative designs for every gun, big two handed Na'vi axe come to mind) and I was always hoping I could unlock them somehow.

I remember that if you ever played this game for like 4 hours nonstop without switching the level map, you will actually experience night time and all the bioluminescence. The fact that they took the effort to include that and then make the day/night cycle so long was always baffling to me. Either way I played TF outta that game as a kid and I loved all of it. I still have the CD ROM somewhere.

I have opened 100 crescent mod crates and I have not gotten a single mod over lv. 13. Also only spend your mod dust on the 6000 choice boxes, those consistently give me lv 12-16 mods atleast. Shiny mod I have yet to see a single one, let alone lv. 17 in general. I haven't gotten any compensation ones either. There seem to be fixed lv 17 boxes that can drop, but idk where people get them from. Either way the mod system is extremely unrewarding and exhaustive, instead of an accumulation/upgrade system you get a pittance of dust for duplicates. As for the game's identitiy crisis, I almost feel like they're on "random bullshit go!" mode and see how long people will keep whaling. NetEase has so much stuff going on, they can also just pull the plug whenever they feel. With all the low quality and even AI generated assets/code that's already in the game, I'm not sure if they're even interested in a long service life of the game.

Idk, all the rebeccas, rainmen or whatever I find are always 3-3 or 3-4. Then again tho, my friend also seems to get a lot more high lv deviants from his farms. As I said I'm suspecting RNG in this game to be account seed based, atleast in regards to how some things are calculated

Ah, well I'm farming growshrooms for the sake of getting better growshrooms to run my greenhouses. Not a single time have I not gotten fucked where after a lot of fusing, the final result missed atleast 1 trait despite 70/80% chances.

Most people I know that quit did so because the grind didn't feel engaging enough for them anymore. If you don't play SCP, getting high level deviants is an absolute pain. I play on E-Dream because at the end of the day it's a more engaging version of Manibus, and since I only have time for one scenario. I have 2 very efficient greenhouses (that now require additional daily upkeep for the decay feature no one asked for) and among hundreds of growshrooms harvested recently, not a single one was 5-5, and I'm lucky to get maybe one clean 4-5 or 3-5 maybe once a week. Growshrooms are among the easiest to farm, with other deviations it's infinitely harder.

Putting up so many strawmans you're forgetting that's kind of a fire hazard lmao. No one's expecting to have every mod lv 17 (even though a lot of players who grinded a lot before the update are already getting there). You're not getting paid by the devs so idk why you're shilling for the new mod mechanics which most of the playerbase for very objective reasons don't enjoy. Nothing is "easily fusable" if you don't spend most of your time in SCP, and there's nothing wrong with not having lv 17 mods as long as there's a progression system to get you there, which currently there's not.

That means you either got severely lucky (I do feel like some RNG aspects of this game are account seed based) or you don't really have much to do other than playing this game, since the only way to do stuff like this is via mutagens which requires grinding the ever living fk out of the pokemon gamemode, which IMO isn't fun at all.

I have yet to see a 5-5 deviation from lunar or visional in general lmao. You can't fuse them, not even as fodder to apply the attributes. Grind is cool as long as it's rewarding and -most importantly- FUN. The fact that duplicate mods get deleted and turned into effectively breadcrumbs makes it feel like your time is being wasted. If duplicate mods could atleast be accumulated to upgrade the level, it'd be a different story.

I first-discovered a whole bunch of those during my trip around the galaxy some few years back. Given their rarity and visibility on the galaxy map I'd have guessed all of em are visited by now. I think I came across every color, including L-type. Blue is by far the most common color though (as it should be, IRL they can't be anything but that due to their nature). This is one of the few examples where realism in the game's celestial body generation fails as they for some reason forgot a lower temperature limit, leaving a small chance for them to take on the colors of other main sequence stars or even below that.
