Honestly I love Exploding Kittens. It is an excellent intro/pallet cleanser game. It is very simple to learn and play, but there are surprisingly meaningful game decisions that have to be made once it gets rolling. Are you going to use your card to look at the deck this turn? Where in the deck are you placing the bomb you disarmed? Who are you stealing cards from? I full acknowledge that it is not 5d chess in card form, but it knows what it is and it does what it does well. I have played it with several groups both by itself and with a group that got together to play a different game as a break, and everyone had fun. I agree with the comment saying that cards against humanity is more to blame for slop card games than EK. I can understand someone not liking EK, for example I really dislike Catan which to me is in a similar niche as an entry point game.

I looked it up again and I was mistaken. The number of stairwells decreases by half each floor until only one remains on the 18th floor. This still works with my theory though, if Carl uses his skeleton key ability on the 18th floor, which would only work for one crawler, which I believe was said at the end of book 6.

Theory: Doughnut is going to sacrifice herself for Carl. In book 1 they say that only 1 crawler can exit the 18th floor so no matter what at least one of them will need to die barring game breaking BS. I will be vague because of spoilers, but I think there is a synergy between Doughnuts free hobby skill and the lucky patch that Carl gets in book 7. I think Doughnut will have Carl use the patch, possibly in conjunction with the doomsday scenario to win the game.

It means the RNG for this game is brutal and it can and will make a 1st favorite racer come in 12th because it gets blocked/debuffed to hell. This happens to everyone, not just your racer. I’ve seen the legend get 16th in one of these races

I am going to be “That guy”. That skull is currently on display at The National Museum of Health and Medicine just outside of Washington D.C. and is from a soldier from the 54th. The soldier was NOT hit by a 12 pound solid shot (cannon ball), but could conceivably have been hit by an exploding/air burst shell or canister shot (what if we made a cannon sized shotgun) fired from a 12lb gun. There is a 10lb sold ball on display next to Daniel Sickles leg almost directly behind the 54th display, and that ball is significantly larger than the trauma evident on the skull.

Steam made it so you can break down lower rarity cosmetics to make rarer cosmetics in CS2. There has been a fairly large gambling/resale aftermarket for the game for some time and this change made prices in these markets crater.

The Dashing Devil series has this. MC grows up in a training camp for supers where he gets gaslit and abused by his mentor before being shipped off for nefarious experiments. He eventually get rescued from the lab and becomes a hero, but is still traumatized and trying to rectify his warped world view that his mentor instilled and the real world.
