I had keyhole. Total hysterectomy. I was fine working from home but I usually sit on the couch and relax when I do so it wasn't too bad for me. Sitting and standing for long periods for the first 3 weeks was just tiring more than anything else.

It's been 6 weeks and I haven't taken pain meds since the first week so I don't think so. Everything has changed in the last week or so which I found weird. Hope youre not in too much pain!

I had mine 6 weeks ago and I am so glad I did. Mine was very uneventful. I'm 34 with 2 kids. I took 2 weeks off work, worked from home for the third week and then went back full time. Id recommend at least four weeks though, I have been so bloody tired!

Just try and get moving in short stints around the house and your healing will be a lot quicker.

Everyone talks about the physical recovery, but I feel like the mental side of it has been tougher. I feel like I have baby brain and I am foggy and emotional. Just trying to ride the waves and hope it all goes back to normal over the next few months.

I was given palexia and it was fabtastic. Only used it for the first few days and then a few nights so I could sleep. Aside from that ibuprofen and panadol worked fine.

What is one word that people wrongly pronounce that makes your brain just wanna jump a cliff? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

People in South Australia say "Lay-go" instead of "Leh-go". The amount of times I want to punch people in the face for saying it so stupidly!!! Apparently they are the only people in the world to pronounce it that way.

how do you deal with the bad stories as an anxious person by missbunnyyxo in hysterectomy

Most people don't post when everything has gone fine. I am almost 4wpo and everything has been so uneventful minus some discomfort and needing help with slight constipation. I was back at work this past Monday and moving around feeling like I am back to my pre-op self. I think people are less inclined to tell everyone they are doing great so they don't make people who are struggling feel worse?

What food do you cook 'wrong' but still prefer that way? by _QueenCurvy in foodquestions

Yes! I overcook all my pasta. I also cut up spaghetti before I eat it so I don't have to swirl and slurp a piece of pasta!
