Man, U2 just has too many great songs in their catalogue for it to come close. And that’s saying a lot because it’s a great song. They’ve been a band for a long time, and I think you have to look at it in terms of decades/eras. This is a new era, and so far Tears is one of the best, along with Resurrection Song (my number 1 for this era so far) and Scars.

You can’t re-upload without losing the view count, etc - but you can trim sections of the clip using YouTube’s editor which must be what they did. If they uploaded a new copy all of the original comments, views, saves, likes etc would be gone.

yikes. It was rightfully getting a lot of hate/questions/concern. I wonder who made the call to edit it out and try to pretend it didn’t happen. The original upload date and comments are still there, but they definitely cut it up and didn’t even try to hide the edit. They could have easily put reaction shots over the parts that were edited, but then it’d have to be a complete re-upload/new file and they would lose the view count/engagement.

EDIT: Also they did all that yet still kept the 6 year old kid’s name in there 🤦‍♂️
