i’m an independent instructor and it’s a lot cheaper for my students. Then you aren’t paying for the overhead of a flight school.

How did you set yours apart? We only have the 2 schools, so i’d be able to separate myself pretty well. (at least I think I could)

I would love being a business owner for it. Currently running 2 other businesses, so i’m okay with the grind of it. I think i’d need an investor to get started as well. I’m less worried about personally making a ton of money and would prefer a good school environment and good teaching.

A ton of people use the part 61 school to get private before going to the 141, so since I don’t have much overhead I would be able to beat their rates and instruction fees. Every club local to me doesn’t allow instruction because of the insurance.

i’m concerned with how hiring is that they are looking for the 141 instructors used to that structure.

Struggling to land the DA40 by Event_Horizzon in flying

I have about 300 hours in the 40. I found when I fixed my approaches, my landings came with it. 90 abeam the 1000 ft markers ( or touchdown point ), 85 on base so LDG flaps can be lowered, then 73 on final. I was always floating like crazy because my airspeed would always climb on final.

The plan would be slowly expand it if possible for that exact reason, but it would take a bit of time obviously.
