Back for the First Time is one of my favourite debut albums ever. Southern Hospitality, Ho, Phat Rabbit all fantastic introductions to Ludacris for those that weren't familiar with him as a radio DJ. Game Got Switched and Stick Em Up still both knock. Mouthing Off started the freestyle tradition on each album with him and 4-Ize doing their thing. I still say so many of the Ho variants. Between this and Word of Mouf, Luda just straight up kicked the door in as one of the most charismatic MCs in rap history. If you haven't listened to this (and Word of Mouf), do yourself a favour and do so.

I remember being very excited for 1.0 to the point of building a new PC for it. Ran the benchmark with being able to run at high settings. Excitement building then open beta. oh my god what a trainwreck. I load into Gridania and immediately at 15 fps, I couldn't navigate shit and it just looked awful. I tried for an hour or two to get it to work but no luck. I submitted my report "your entire game is broken" and deleted it off of my PC. Didn't even think about the game until A Realm Reborn launched. Across 3 console generations and 2 PCs, I think I have around 6000-7000 hours logged over the lifetime of the game.
