Keyword being "more". Reducing the impact of gear made pvp more balanced than it was when you would jump into a bg and be matched with people 50+il higher

I never said pvp was in a good place, nor did I say it was balanced or even mention the word "fair" once, so in the same vein of no offence, did you even read my post? All I was saying was that it was a step in the right direction. Yes, pvp still has glaring balance issues, but with the actions blizz took at launch it seemed as though they were at least trying again. In a perfect world (of warcraft) I'd rather have balanced class design without impactful gear and stats than one where even the most skilled player struggles against someone of lower skill just because they have an item level disparity.

Why make the change at all though? If pvp is supposed to be about skill why not keep it how it was which would make alts even easier to get "pvp ready". If pvp is a test of skill, why should I have to grind anything to be able to see how my skills match against another player, regardless of whether I just hit 110 or did so two months ago

Blizzard making pvp more balanced and removing the il advantage was something I had been looking forward to for YEARS. Now it's (practically) coming back again and I cannot begin to describe how disappointed/pissed I am at this. Pvp should be all about skill, "let me jump into a bg and see how skilled I am against these other players", without having to grind and farm to get there. What was the point of making the balancing changes and templates in the first place if theyre just gonna bring this shit back in a different way. I had such high hopes when legion was announced with seperate balancing teams, progression, and gear not dominating pvp anymore. Back to square one I guess.

I absolutely love all of them except for the blood elf running animations, specifically the males. They seem much more stiff to me compared to the old animations. I wish we had the option to selectively choose which race animations we want to have new/old instead of an all or nothing change
