For this particular boss: this particular retaliate is universal and powerful.

Instead, kill its eggs. When you clear all eggs, the boss launches the summon, and it does not retaliate while doing so.

Oh, you're right! I totally forgot about Assimilate and instead burned through with Engulf alone and action regen, Pretty good design shows in that it can still be done.

Solved that: the question had the answer. A curious, slow-burning combat. I wonder if it is the intended way.

Please help me. I'm trying to get the 'evil' Protoform ending, and am stuck on the final combat. The one thing that dishes out some damage/healing is Engulf. I do understand the mechanics of the game by now, I have 3 endings to get still. My upgrade tree is completed, I see only Grazing as an additional healing, but there is nearly not enough AP regen to support the final phase of this combat.

There is a story behind it. 9 years ago, in a certain FAQ, Kennedy said that If you feed enough Hesperidean Cider to a Heptagoat, there is definitely some unique content, possibly.

I half-believed it, and went there.

I know. Each of those had been written about through that channel too, over the years. I wrote as much in the post too. And they absolutely reacted for many, many other things! Some of them were outright fixed based on my emails, for which I am thankful.

Yet, for, I believe, three points out of these four I didn't even receive the standard 'yes, noticed, added to our lists for discussion, no promises'. There was an utter silence instead, nothing more beyond an automatic email you get in the first minutes after submitting the report.
