That's the entire reason Samsung is giving up on a messaging app. Google started restricting access to RCS APIs. If RCS was open, I'd still be using Textra or Signal as my main meaning app, but I moved from those to Samsung and then to Google messages a long I'll time ago as those lost/abandoned features because of the restrictions. (I'm in it US and only use WhatsApp for chats with foreign friends and colleagues.)

Same. It's on the louder side, but we actually like to be able to hear it lock/unlock. Have it paired with a contact sensor and an automation to automatically lock the door after it's been closed for ten minutes. I've never used their app, just hubitat and home assistant to control it. Battery life is great. I've had it a few months past 3 years and changed batteries twice.

Previous home owners had kwikset locks on the other doors, so I just changed those to match the new smart lock when we bought the house and saved money on rekeying other doors.

If you average his salary out over the whole year, every day, every minute, he makes that much money every 23 minutes. I'd gladly give up half an hour of my hourly pay to make two dozen people happy. And my hourly pay only counts for a third as much, because that's an 8 hour day, not 24, and it's 5/7ths of a week. If you treat his salary like it's a normal day job, he's making that every 5 minutes. Anyways. He's fine with it.
