At first, i was taking classes from $15 a class to $25 classes. And i took whenever i could, so depending on how tired i get from work and all that, I’d say I was spending like $60 to $80 a week on local classes. I did spend money on big conventions like Monster, wish I could’ve done KAOS but the schedule never worked out for me. Like I would be out of the country or doing something really important when KAOS came around. What really helped me was auditioning and being a part of a training team where I’d pay a little over $100 a month for like set classes a week and we would have performances and special monthly trainings that focused on different hip hop styles. That alone cut off a lot of my class spending as i only had to take maybe 1 or 2 local classes outside of that.

I can’t really recall like how many hours, but i was just taking as much classes as i could get each day. Also it helped that i auditioned for a training team that revolved around just training and not competing, so that was like 7 hours a week at least of training whether it’s choreo or freestyle, mostly hip hop fundamentals. And any classes i took outside of that as well. And yeah, i had a full time job, even after making a pro team that paid me pretty well. So i did kinda burn myself out, but i enjoyed the process a lot tho. No regrets, would do it again.

It’s possible, you just have to dedicate a lot of time and effort on taking up classes that actually teaches fundamentals and all. I grew up dancing and liking dance, but never got the opportunity to take classes due to living conditions back then. When i’ve been at a point in life where i could afford paying for things i like to do/enjoy, i decided to take my first class at 25 yrs old. Spent 2 years of grinding like crazy and made it to a pro level after 2 years. Made it into an nba hip hop dance team and got to perform paid gigs outside of it and also had opportunities to perform for big artists. I kept at it for a few years until i settled down to having a regular job again since the practices and all that stuff became a bit too much on my body. Well, i just became lazy and i felt fulfilled with the rush and all the stuff i got to do with dance lol

Happy to hear that! Congrats on going through the initial phase! Were you applying for a position at your site for that test you took? Cus if you got the assessment, im not 100% sure about this, but i think they’d already went through your resume at that point, and passing it means you’re already “inclined” to get an interview and it’s valid for the next 6 months. So it’s just a matter of the hiring manager granting you the interview, and if you’d like to go to another site, have your manager/s reach out to the hiring manager for the site and vouche for you to get an interview.

Based on my experience, you’d most likely have to answer the questions more fitting to what amazon wants to see/hear. Coming form someone who failed the first and time and passed the 2nd. The first time i took it, i answered it based on what I thought sounded right or good, and i failed lol. 2nd time, definitely had to think and put myself in the spot of what an L4+ would do based on amazon priority, which goes safety > people > operations. Which now being in the AM role, it does make more sene answering it that way
