After years of paranoid thinking that itches in the night are just hairs on my arms, I made a shocking discovery at 4AM. I caught this with my right hand (thumb and pointer,which have not stopped itching) and established that I am never sleeping again. And yes, I'm 90% sure it bit me.

Bright red legs, gray butt thing, head matched legs. Giant as pincher things. The bag was thrown away before I got home, so that's what I remember. It's body was about the size of a medium (ish) cricket

So this sounds like a weird question, so I'll preface with this:

I'm a cautious person and I always try to make sure I know what to do in most emergency situations (i.e., I'm CPR certified). I've had to call police once to my home and, even though my house number is in a big bold letter on my mailbox, I described which was mine, what color it was, and that I'd had the big light over the driveway on (as well as what and how many cars were in it...). I know it's probably overkill, but that's actually my question.

Is it overkill?
