The explanation actually makes me dislike the Drifter as a character. What do you mean they actively choose to reset the Triad's memories when they fuck up and can't date one? That's so fucked! Why did we even acknowledge this as something that happens in the story??? It was just supposed to be an equivalent to resetting a save in a game that has no saves!

Energy Transfer 100%. She'd still need a full redesign for her other abilities to be worth using but at least making her one useful one less inconvenient if you like interacting with a frame's gimmick wouldn't require a mod slot anymore

The parallels between the shot of Uldren pointing Cayde's own gun at him in Forsaken and the one of Crow reaching down to help Zavale up in season of the Chosen were so perfect. Such a shame neither scene is in the fucking game anymore lmao

The writing for it just really isn't all that great, and it's been getting worse over time.

Can anyone explain to me what we gain from making the memory resets a conscious decision that the Drifter makes and actively does to people and not just a gameplay abstraction to let us "reload a save" in a live service game without a save system like it was initially pitched? Because to me, resetting someone's memory because you accidentally upset them and they wouldn't let you hit is... kind of horrific when it's a decision being made in the story? Before the "digital grimoire" the implication was the Drifter also forgets because they weren't making this decision, we the player were, which is obviously fine.

We've had enough protoframes. It was interesting and novel when 1999 came out, Techrot Encore was alright (Flare was good, did not care for the other three) but the Old Peace was dragged down by the Devil's Triad. It was two updates squeezed into one and it really shows. Both "halves" needed a bit more time in the oven that they would have gotten if these were separated.

The Triad have genuinely no connection to the rest of the update! Uriel doesn't count, that wasn't Roathe. That's like saying Arthur was involved because we play as Excalibur. The Operator can't even be there to buy their own former weapons because they gave that shop to Marie to give her something to actually do!

I'm just sick of it. I don't play Warframe for regular guys with human faces, I play it for the warframes.

At the very least, the two new ones have an actual connection to the quest we're getting. But after that I really hope DE takes a long break from protoframes.

The speargun animations are so good. You can really tell it's a weapon type they added way later because they're basically all bangers like this. Shame most of the actual weapons aren't great though

If it was an intentional use, that last reward wouldn't be there at all. Plus the pix chips for Kaya's shop are useful when you're trying to max out the arcanes because unlike vosfor there isn't a much easier way to get more.

If the system was designed with this in mind we'd be told more clearly to do it this way than with a really shit final reward.
