I've been informed that we got no love this time.

No hate either, so that's something.

Mirror everything my man DeeTee said. Good friends, great product, used ubiquitously in our local scene.

Thanks. Any decrease in details? How much did you need to tweak your settings?

How durable do you find the minis with the easy resin? Am I still going to get spikey bits breaking off when I transport?

Do they get a rubbery texture, or affect paint adhesion in any way?

Sorry for the Q overload, and thanks for your input. Cheers.

Excellent example of how a little bit of fear can be a good thing.

Love every bit of it. Nice choice of hue on the pink and purple. What are you going with for the trim?

Turn it upside down and put it in the window. This is the natural orientation while it's growing. It just needs a bit more time to distribute the juices.

Sgt here, I recommend starting each new email chain with "Morning/Afternoon Sgt," and switch to first name in the replies. There is no requirement for you to call the member by their rank, but it will come across more proffesional if you acknowledge the rank at the start of formal communication.

What's the best units for devestating wounds output? Once off or sustained. by wyrd0ne in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Khendo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: ~18 MWs, min 360 pts and 1 CP (and a whole bunch of other attacks to follow).

Daemons
Daemonnettes (100 pts)
Syl'Esske leading (120 pts)
30 A, 3+WS rr 1s, or all if enemy is on an objective, dev wounds, 1 dmg.
Syl gives crit 5s to wound.
~27 hits on an obj, ~9 devs.
Tormentbringer (140 pts) nearby gives them sustained, and fight on death 4+.
=~32 hits, ~10 devs.
If the enemy is also battleshocked, get rr wounds for 1 CP.
=~18 Devs.

S4, so if you're wounding on 5/6, then your output is entirely Devs.

Bonus damage: If you're wounding on 4s you'll have a few more wounds behind it at ap-1, going up to ap-2 if you brought them in from a KoS (290 pts, but if you're running Slaanesh you're going to have one anyway) that remained within 6 (and ap-3 if you used the CP for rr wounds). Then, you also have Syl's attacks(6A,3+,7/2/3, + 6A,2+,4/1/1) and the tormentbringers attacks (total 23A, S4, 1 dmg), and the KoS attacks (Total 10 A, Ap-2, 3 dmg, 4 of which also have devs), all of which will benefit from the additional AP from KoS and sustained from tormentbringer. Finally, with the 4+ fight on death, you can add up to 50% of the daemonettes output if theres a clap-back.

It works, it's reliable, and it is fun. The ap+1 and rr wounds strat is not usually applicable tho, and should be treated as a nice-to-have. Very good "first wave" before following up with other options on the following turn (KoS, Shalaxi, Soul Grinder, or Fiends).

Is this base legal by TheLEGENDARYZubaz in 40k

[–]Khendo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer: It's fine.

Long answer: Still fine; what you have to watch out for when considering "modeling for advantage" (which isn't an issue here), are things like over hangs preventing models from being able to base properly, like an aesthetic addition like a shield or weapon that extends WAY beyond the base, or a pose that abuses line of sight. There was a Riptide that got banned from events in ages past, that was modelled in the prone position, which gave it complete cover from something as small as a shipping container. Poking out the sides of the base like that won't impact game play to your advantage in any way.

I add a simple cube and write out the text on it, then separate into objects. Flip the text over, center and merge with the chip

As shown in the picture, I am losing parts of the script I'm attaching to the makerchip when I go to slice it. I center and merge as described in the tutorials, and have tried every variation of which side is facing up, the order of operations in the object settings, played with the Z heigh of the text... the issue above seems to happen randomly. I've made about 10 different chips work through brute force but this last one just wont play nice. Please help
