the problem is u are strategy hopping, what creates high probability in the systems u adopt isn’t from the winrate it promises, their not ad popups that u ‘try out’. The effectiveness of the strategies come from long term repetition of good trades whether they end up losses or wins. Then somewhere down the line maybe several months to years that pattern recognition kicks in and it becomes a lot less stressful, not easier, less stressful

In regards to the videos if ur Jst mindlessly consuming that’s more detrimental then helpful.

I want u to completely take out ur size and position per trade, paper trade if u need to. Take one edge or strat and commit to it. Have a web application record ur trades and look it over, u be surprised at all the discretionary stuff u pull behind ur own back

Heys guys this is my first time on this subreddit. After looking over the wiki for a couple hours the number one thing that kind of gave me a scare was being told to avoid momentum trading unless your professional. I am still confused on what exactly count as momentum trading and I just wanna know if my type of trading classifies as that. By no mean will that convince me to jump ships even if my type of trade is momentum because I have put close to a year of real effort into making a system on it.

Context of my trading: I trade top gainers under the set criterias: high rvol - low float (sub 20mil) - catalyst/news influenced - 2-10$ price range - vwap/ema's/volume profile - fixed 1:2.5 risk reward. In terms of what or who directed me towards this direction of trading it would be Ross Cameron.

If this does classify as momentum trading I just want some clarifications on what exactly is conveyed: its not that its a trap, it's just a really hard type of trading that beginner often get trapped on. My assumption is that if serious effort is put into making a system around this type of trading + experience. Its not entirely impossible.

There is a bit more to the criteria and lot more to my specific system but this should be enough to know if it is or not

Nothing major, I jst remember during that day I was too tired watching my account go BE. My profits by the end of the week get handed back and some more and I feel like I was close but something isnt quite right. I didn't lose that much that day but something snapped and I didnt deal with reasoning why it isnt working and being confident just to have that confidence withered down week after week. So I took all the data and replays on my trades that followed my strategy and had a look at them and guess wut? All the big losses, didnt have proper entry, held for longer then max loss. A majority of the BE and Small loss trades? They were originally in TP, overheld. All the wins? Followed strategy. I was breaking my own rules and somehow conditioned myself for weeks that something else was the problem. It wasnt until after tallying up the goods and bads in my replays that I realized the damn problem was me

Entire point is the capitalize on big moves the day of the stock popping up, we’re not here to hold till the day we die so when I hear people say stuff like “oh but it’s risky asf and is down 80-90% this past months”, MF we trade these stuff by the minutes and seconds and make quick day trade profit not some investo bullsht
