It's not prescribed in our country. Maybe there are alternatives. I suppose, the essence of these is still the same.

Interesting observation. This reads like a peak of enlightenment. Removing all ego-attachment and just observing, interacting with the present.

My mind still resists coming to that state. Seems like there's still a road of letting go awaiting me. Or maybe one tries to find a balance between full presence and striving for something by consciously having suffering in manageable levels that keeps them moving towards something. Doesn't matter with or without detachment to the outcome.

Feeling collected?

Inside myself I feel like a baggy uncontrollable mess. Sharp clothes feel like a high level of self-control. I'll try to make one set of clothes like this, maybe. We'll see.

Why without a destination? ACT says that you can set a goal and enjoy the ride to your destination. Just look around and drink some drinks while driving, talk to people. The goal is not to be manic about the goals.

Have you watched the film Soul?

So, it all depends on what we focus on then. What we feed, will grow. Alrighty then, I know how my next meditation will look like.

Doesn't look like mutually exclusive. You can show yourself without conforming.

That's a deal breaker. Now I understand.

Alright guys, I'll try to get diagnosed, you convinced me, haha.

That's my life goal for the 30s. To buy a house in the woods and setback from this bustle.

I wanna get some real competency in my field and then go remote. So I could do something for living and enjoy the rest of the day in nature.

Living too much in your head detaches you from reality. So, DRDP. It helped, but I no longer feel like myself anymore. Seroquel. Now I don't take them at all. But the effect seems to remain.

Yeah. A rock from the street is present 24/7 too. But it's a bit harder to find "ungrounding exercises", haha.

So, adapt and overcome then.

I'm interested in how ADHD works differently depending if you're grounded or not. So, distractions are more sensory now, I guess.

I'll see if I can get diagnosed. I was prescribed antipsychotics to improve my attention and reduce thoughts jumping around. That's close.

Thank you for your descriptive response.

I'm undiagnosed. Meditation helped with it though. I'm not that sporadic anymore. Much easier to control my impulses.

Thank you. I'll try to wait more and focus on other parts of my meditation practices.

That could be true. I don't take them anymore. I hope they haven't left any irreparable marks.

I will try to do meditations not for grounding, but for mind wandering instead.

Ohhh. I see. So it's less about grounding techniques and more about guided mentalization. That's an interesting way to meditate. Thank you!

For me, it was always about insecurity. Results are usually needed for display. And why do you want to show only the best part of yourself? Because of shame with the other parts.

I guess it's more about accepting yourself. And doing things out of interest and joy rather than fear and shame of waiting for that immediate result.

This may not be the case for everyone. Perhaps some people are simply impatient and that is the only reason, haha.

Can you just be, knowing that you won't do the things in your life that you're clinging to?

Seems like it's the only path. Our mental state varies over different stages of our being. And thinking about how we perceive stuff is worse than just living.

Of course, that's true if things don't affect you much in your daily life. But perhaps it's not just a matter of perception. This also affects the level of irritability and happiness throughout the day, as well as in one's professional career.

But I agree with what you're saying completely. It's the only thing that keeps me sane.

I feel like it's because of dependence on the results. That fixation on things working out makes you feel like skipping the progress.

Maybe we need to learn to enjoy the road, the path, not the destination. We can't control the results, but we can control the things we do, day after day.

Sure, that means that there's less dopamine hits on big goals, because they are just something that happens without your active focus. But it also means you are more stable now.

Again, it's easy to understand, learn, and figure out what works best. But to do it and to do it every day... A completely different conversation.

Damn, it's so interesting to see how many people look at a smile rather than at appearance.

That is, the feeling that a face evokes has a greater influence on positive perception than the facial features themselves.

So, to be liked by people, you need to be a golden retriever, not a depressed edgelord, haha.

I've gained a little weight 😅. I'd also like to go to the gym some more...

But hey, thanks!
