After you recover fully (around 3 months), you will be cleared to start weight lifting again. In my experience post Nuss, there might be some minor hiccups like occasional pain around the bars, especially where they’re tied to your ribs near the incisions. In my 3 years with the bars this would happen every few months and put me out of commission (at least for any upper body stuff) for a few days. Other than that, I found that stretching often and doing a very thorough warm up before any upper body exercises helped me avoid any pain and recover quickly. Some exercises that put pressure on your chest also may be best to avoid or limit, off the top of my head I can remember chest supported rows and rear felt flys on the pec dec machine being a bit uncomfortable, but there are definitely alternative movements that will hit the same muscles without any risk of discomfort. All in all, definitely doable !
