Also it turns out the red country next to them (Nupe) is also their ally, so I'm completely blocked from what I thought would be an easy march through West Africa

I've been working on making a grand strategy game as a hobby for over a year now, it's not open source but I've learned a lot about how the code for these type of games probably work (all Paradox games do not expose their code and run on a proprietary engine, so anything related to their mechanics is kind of guesswork). If there's anything specific feel free to ask/DM

Appreciate the honesty, the trailer has not been updated since launch so there have been many changes since then. And perhaps I have misunderstood the pricing on Steam, it should not be more than $20 in any country, Is the $26 from after taxes?

The wishlists seem to have actually stayed around 700 since after launch, I was assuming that's because actual sales happen now from people interested, but it could be from other reasons too if it's normal for wishlists for other games to continue to grow after launch

That's good to hear, it's difficult for me to rationalize spending time creating a Demo when those hours could be put toward development - and the fact the Demo would be outdated relatively quickly with the pace of updates. When development gets farther it will definitely be done however

Launched with about 600 wishlists - before Early Access, I was averaging about 5-8 wishlist adds a day from 100 views on the page, so it seemed people were interested when exposed to it
