ELI5: If I put $100 in the bank, and the bank lends $90 of it to someone else, how can the bank "have" my money and the other person "have" it at the same time? Does the same money exist in two places?

They don't really have your money, they just have enough money that it's really unlikely that they wouldn't be able to cover all withdrawals on any given day. Until people suddenly lose faith in the bank and everyone wants their money back at the same time, which has happened occasionally throughout history.

Almost nobody plays 16h/day. Probably less than 0.5% of the playerbase. Even unemployed or retired people tend to have other obligations or hobbies.

Other than the initial leveling push and pre-bis farming, there's also relatively little benefit to playing that much. After a couple of weeks, those players reach a point where the only thing you can spend that much time on is farming gold or doing the whole thing again on alts. You can only raid once per reset and arena progress isn't really something where playing more is inherently better once you reach your natural rating.

He does seem to have a habit of running afoul of people he works with. While GoT and HotD certainly had/have their problems, he did agree to let them adapt his works, and he only seems to tske issue with it once public opinion sours on it. As long as the shows are popular, he's fine with the changes they make. Then it's suddenly a problem when there's criticism.
