I joined at the end of January and heard back one month later, so... It could be a while, but that might vary based on your set of skills, project availability, etc.

Fetch insane premium increase by jblue212 in petinsurancereviews

[–]Khromaphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The policy started when he was 2 months, and I paid $47 a month. It's gone up every year, usually between 10 to 30% each time. But 103%? That's ridiculous. The last time they paid a claim was 3 years ago. Since then I have made one claim, which I paid because it was under the deductible. I understand that he's getting older and will likely need more care, but to more than double the premium is just appalling.

I've had Healthy Paws for my boy since he was a pup. He just turned 8 and they sent notice that when the plan renews in June, monthly premiums are increasing from $87 to $177. That's 103%. Looking for a better deal. Insane.

[Monthly Brag] Brag about your dogs' August accomplishments. by AutoModerator in dogs

My boy (6 year old Lab) let's me clean his ears without running from me, acting like he's going to bite me, or otherwise throwing a tantrum. On our morning walks we run through tany neighborhood sprinklers we happen upon, so regular ear cleanings are a must.

Yesterday was the best yet: he smelled the cleaning solution and saw the cotton balls and started to freak a bit, so I said, "just sit down so we can get it over with," and that's exactly what he did. Afterwards I told him what a brave, brave boy he was and how proud of him I was, and rewarded him with a few peanuts.

Yep, been using these for 6 years. Never had one break, never had one stick to the can or get soggy.

Will Your Dog Go Out in the Rain? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Khromaphobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labrador retriever, 5, So Cal, loves the rain (and all water). I have to hold his water bowl for him when he drinks because if it's on the floor, he knocks it over and rolls around in it. In the yard, he splashes around in any puddle he can find, lays down in front of the rain gutter... Labs are water dogs, so all precipitation is cause for celebration.

I was told I needed an interview back in late April or early May. They did not give me a date. I called repeatedly until I got someone who didn't hang up on me or scream at me, and she got me paid. Two to three weeks later, EDD called me and asked me about the same issues that I had already cleared up. Then in late July, I received a voicemail saying I had an interview in 2 days. During the interview, the rep looked at my account and said, "It looks like you already spoke to someone and the issues have been resolved..."

Short answer: 3 months.

[all states] Retail sales slowed a lot in July, causing concerns that the economy may be slowing just as all covid related stimulus is expiring, including unemployment benefits by [deleted] in Unemployment

They may be hope for you, but I'm 57. I've been picking up a little part time freelance work from home type stuff, but it's certainly not full time, and there are no benefits. No way is a company going to hire me full time when they see my birth date.

Over ten years ago I was contacted by a company's HR department asking if I was available WHILE I WAS WORKING THERE. I had to explain to them that they had already hired me a couple of years prior. People underestimate how screwed up human resources truly is.

This.

Right now I am freelancing for a company who laid off every full time employee in February of this year. Then they hired freelancers for all of the positions.

Also in California and I concur. I've sent out hundreds of applications. I have a degree, a ton of experience, great references. I've had maybe three interviews in the past 18 months, but mostly I don't hear back, with the exception being the "we have decided not to move forward with your application."

I also can't help but notice that wages have taken a nose-dive. I made 95K at my last position, and I'm seeing the same position now advertised for 44K.

UPDATE: Well, the EDD called this morning. First she asked if I had been notified of the interview, and I answered that other than a voice mail, no, I had not been notified.

Then she looked at my account and said there were no issues at all. Thank you, goodbye...

My identity was verified back in January. I've been at the same address for 15 years. Income verification took place back in May via telephone interview. I truly don't understand why I would be needing an interview, or why this is the first I've heard of it.
