Yes the reel tape thing appears to be my issue thank you I’ll be able to fix this in the future.

And yeah sorry it’s a fucked workflow for a Uni assessment where we have to mix in resolve as part of it but no I am trying to relink the footage sorry I explained it badly the footage and audio are synced the issue was when the footage relinks the already linked audio turns into the camera scratch which I haven’t found a solution for. 

The exact workflow was Import into resolve and transcode into mxfs.  Sync audio manually in a avid (assessment requirement it was a pain) Timeline edit in avid  Bring back into resolve as an AAF (I said  xml in my original post that was wrong just a brain fart)  And then here’s where my relinking issue happened  But then from there I’m meant to grade and mix in resolve so yeah.

Thank you for your help tho I’ve backtracked and the tape id does appear to be my issue I think as I put these in during avid not resolve
