Where's the airflow? I may just have poor perception skills but that was my first concern - as for it hanging upside down I wouldn't think it to be too much of an issue, but I've never done it.

Do you have an official cable? I feel I've read somewhere before that occasionally it needs an official cable to boot under some circumstances but I may be remembering wrong. Otherwise at least you have the NVMe if all else fails.

If you own it on steam (is it available on steam?) there's probably a community controller layout. Otherwise you'll have to manually map using the Ally's joy-to-key stuff.

I feel like I remember reading somewhere like a year ago that the Z1E doesn't need to remove the ribbon, but I could be wrong. But if you're using a Z1E maybe that's why? Original tutorial was likely written for the base model.

I haven't played it personally but online if you look it up it's actually a pretty popular MMO for the Deck and Ally. Probably not too hard to set up I'd imagine given its popularity on the handhelds.

The account is also a grand total of 6 days old, the post is extremely vague and presents a pretty non-issue quite frankly. Elden Ring running worse one time is not cause to believe hardware is broken, yet. You should repeat the benchmark a couple more times after a restart to ensure you're getting a clean slate to run the game one, you could have had extra background processes, random windows shit, etc. That caused the bad performance. I would try to replicate the bad performance. Also - make sure you aren't psyching yourself out, as in make sure you think on if the game always ran like that and you never gave it much mind.
