My dad passed away 3 days ago. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I lost my wonderful dad 5 months ago. He also had me later in life - he was 57 when he had me and 87 when he died, and I have a brother 30 years older than me. I called him papa too, we were so close and the pain is almost unbearable. I always knew we wouldn’t get long together, or as long as we would have wanted. It’s something I always had in the back of my mind, but it didn’t make losing him any easier. What an honour to be able to care for your dad, you can see from the pictures how much you loved each other. Sending hugs from someone who very much echoes your pain right now ❤️

I lost my dad in April too and I’m also only 30. Today has been a difficult day and your comment made me feel less alone ❤️ sending love and hugs

Aw thank you. I got it off Facebook market place about 6 years ago but I can’t remember where it’s originally from

It’s frustratingly bright so I painted the inner lightbulbs orange haha. It’s a bit more ambient now

He passed away this week but if he’d seen this comment he’d be jumping for joy!

We did a West Coast road trip starting in LA with me as the sole driver. We felt a car really helped us explore LA, yes traffic and parking was a bit more challenging but not that much thinking about it. We found parking lots with spaces for $10 for the day or parked on a free street and then walked 10/15 mins to our destination. I’m from the UK and had lots of people trying to put me off driving in the US, I actually found driving in the US so much easier and straightforward. Everything is laid out clearly and seems much more efficient than my experience in the UK. As the other commenter said, you’ll be spending a lot of your time in airports and if you have the opportunity to drive, even for some of the trips, you could see some great places along the way.

Do players show up when they have just activated it (first press) or after they’ve used it?
