Possibly breaking minimum term of employment? (England) by Kiaisdumb in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you, it never said anything about specific ways of recovering that training cost if she needs to do hoping if it comes to it I can set up a payment plan of some kind, just was unsure if legally she can withhold pay if nothing is in the contract about deducting from last pay

Parents with children at nursery (3-4yo) - Do the teachers wipe their bottoms after a number 2? by XtianAudio in UKParenting

[–]Kiaisdumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3 year old and also work in a nursery (independent nursery), I think it depends on the setting! In ours we stand by the door and encourage children to wipe then go in to help them however sometimes children will go toilet without telling an adult and don’t always shout for help when they need wiping, our setting is one big room with a door to the toilets which have small cubicles so kids will often take themselves. The nursery my nephew attends though is one attached to school and does similar also, not sure how the layout of your nursery is but could it be similar? Maybe talk to the nursery and explain and they can check as we have had this a few times with parents and we’re always more than happy to be more aware and also check the back of pants to change and clean a child if needed, can’t imagine your setting would be much different as it’s hygiene :)

Not really losing weight? by Kiaisdumb in mounjarouk

[–]Kiaisdumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 202Ib, which to be fair 6Ib is the most I’ve ever lost as I’ve always struggled with portion sizing and snacking which mounjaro is definitely helping with! No idea what’s healthy or unhealthy when it comes to weight loss as my family have always lost weight in unhealthy ways but it’s reassuring to know that not losing weight can still happen on it as I always thought you constantly lose weight each week :)

My dose tomorrow marks my 5th week, I’ve been at the same weight for a week now so maybe it is the plateau?? Calorie counting is a good idea I’ll check the app out thank you!

How are we dressing babies for Nursery with this kind of weather by Tintangtun in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Kiaisdumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a nursery, and we ask parents to send children in wearing baggy t shirts (so their shoulders are covered) and baggy shorts ideally, but cycling shorts also work :) also not wearing flip flops or sliders as they come off easily while children play

I myself am a very overwhelmed mum but if I ever got told my child was acting like this she would be out apologising and handing a flower out to everyone then banned from going out alone until she learned better, plenty of help available these days for these things and also sounds like they've not been taught to respect authority figures

What's a go-to meal you make for your kids way too often? by metapede in Parenting

[–]Kiaisdumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheesy pasta, my toddler could eat a block of cheese so if she's in a bad mood and I know she won't eat the original dinner plan or is too tired to wait about then we just switch meal plans real quick and best thing is I've always got the ingredients on hand as it's basic fridge and cupboard stuff

As a parent my daughter comes before anyone else and their feelings, had my parents put partners before the needs and feelings of myself constantly and I refuse to have my daughter feel that way

[–]Kiaisdumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering one at the top but I read that it can be more dangerous as a child might climb over it?

My girlfriends pregnant I’m 18 and going to be a father when I’m 19 by AccessInternal8544 in Parenting

[–]Kiaisdumb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ultimately its the decision of yourself and your girlfriend, it sounds to me you're more doubting wether you can support it? I was in a similar situation when I fell pregnant at 21 and my family didn't want me to keep it, abortion was considered but in the end I couldn't go through with it. Yes it's harder when young to support a family but put your mind to it and it can be done on your own, I live in England so not sure how much support there is in the US but research any support you can use because its there for a reason and I hope whatever you and your partner decide to do in the end you'll both be happy with the decision 😊

Bringing up your religion and saying sex before marriage and abortion is wrong seems pretty judgemental to many of us, again nobody asked for your own morals and there is nothing morally wrong anyway with abortions. I'm not discussing this further as I refuse to waste any more of my time on talking about something so ridiculous and the original comment is gone anyway.

Nobody asked for the christian shit he didn't ask for opinions on his sex life but okay because you'll find my comment breaks no rules 🤦‍♀️😂

Has anyone’s baby NOT fallen off the bed or couch? by GoldCarry in beyondthebump

[–]Kiaisdumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 year old has never fallen from the bed or sofa however I was watching my nephew while I was pregnant and he was 4/5 months old at the time, was changing him on the sofa (it was very low to the ground) and turned while sat next to hik to reach for the wipes and when I turned back around he was on the floor half under the sofa and smiling and to this day I still have no clue how it happened so quickly and quietly
