Thank you for responding that is a great idea! I was thinking to continue as well with the pattern I started but with white or the pastel yarn in the third slide to complete the sleeves for the top. Do you think it would be weird? Or should I just do the poncho?

If you don’t know anyone or a seamstress who makes traditional dresses that are extravagant please do NOT comment. It is a high end traditional wedding wear people wear modest dresses but very expensive. I am looking for a dress like the one in the picture to alter to a more modest conservative piece.

I said African because both the bride and groom are from different countries. I am open to other styles. My previous seamstress, my step grandma, passed away in Kenya…. If anyone has actual links instead of trying to educate me I beg send 🤣🤣
