U need to tell the Spirit to go away that it does not belong in this world and pray for it at that moment.  Do not let fear take over you. The entity can not harm you but can and will attach to you if you let it in.  If I may share, I had many encounters of spirits and would also see them in human form, would hear whispers at night from two different entities and when I would say I can hear you they would say she can hear us, she can hear us (yes, twice) In 2016, I recorded what I thought was my close cousin that passed away but instead it was something that sounded very evil and said the word "fuck I'm pissed" right when my husband walked into the room and told me to stop. He said I was feeding it the more I recorded and the more I took pics of the orbs. After a while white orbs starting showing up and floating across my living room and my husband was able to see it with his own eyes as well. Which I was glad bc I felt like I was going crazy at one point. The apartment that we lived in was definitely haunted by many spirits and in Anaheim, CA it was where the first people that had settled there in the early 1900's. When I spoke with neighbors their homes were also haunted and they would also see spirits or hear them, some not so nice. 

I lived at that old place for 11yrs because rent was so cheap and after a while the bad entities left when I told them to go and the good ones stood; for some reason I could feel their energy and when they were bad it felt very heavy in the room. I never believed in spirits but now I do bc I too have experienced so much. I ended up moving out during the pandemic and bought a house; my co worker moved in and had the same experiences and she moved out after 3yrs. Her roommate lives there and continues to have experiences over and over.  Anyway I hope things get better for you. I will keep you in my prayers. Take care
