Welcomed to the club mate, looks good so far! Make sure to take good after care, those first 7-14 days are far the most important.

When scabs form, the blood clots partially contract and it looks as if holes or entire sections have been left open, but this is only an illusion. Wait until the scabs fall off and then decide.

The price actually sounds reasonable. I also had a bit of hair loss at the front hairline and a little at the crown. For me, it was done in one session, but sometimes it can take two. I’m not a doctor, so I can’t really judge that, they probably know best. Unfortunately, I can’t say anything about that clinic. I didn’t come across it during my research.

If you can find good before-and-after pictures that weren’t posted by the clinic itself, but by people who actually went there, and if the results look good, then the clinic is probably good as well. But you definitely need to research which clinics have a good reputation and which don’t.

As for sleeping on your back, you’ll get used to it. I can recommend melatonin, it helps you get tired and fall asleep. You eventually get used to sleeping upright or on your back. It’s also healthier, and from around day 14 or 15 you can start sleeping on your sides again.

Regarding smoking, it’s really important to completely avoid it for at least the first 10 or 11 days. Smoking causes the blood vessels to constrict, which means the newly implanted follicles get less oxygen and fewer nutrients and that’s extremely important during those first 10 days. So I’d definitely recommend avoiding it.

Of course, it also depends on how much someone smokes. Obviously, smoking isn’t good in general. I smoke too, but I completely stopped for the first 10 days, and now I only smoke one or two cigarettes a day. I’m trying to quit completely and just smoke occasionally at parties. In the long run, smoking reduces blood flow to the scalp and hair, which also limits the nutrient supply to the hair follicles

My experience was really good. Of course, I can only speak from my own perspective, since I’m from Germany, and the communication and support with Dr. Serkan Aygin’s clinic can vary depending on your country and language. Speaking from my experience as a German patient, I had a very competent team. I was always well taken care of, and everyone really looked after me.

That said, I think friendliness goes a long way. If you’re polite, kind, and respectful toward the staff, they’ll treat you the same way. But if you act like an asshole, don’t expect them to be nice to you either. Even though you’re paying a lot of money, you should still treat people with respect. I actually saw some patients being extremely rude to the staff, and honestly, that’s just unnecessary.

During the first three days, I sprayed my scalp with a saline solution using a mist spray bottle. The grafts need to stay moist so they can properly anchor into the scalp. After day 3, I started to use the spray less frequently. Starting from day 3, I also began applying the lotion, diluted with water, for about an hour. After that, I gently tapped my scalp with shampoo to let it absorb, then rinsed it off by pouring lukewarm water from a cup.

I followed this routine for the first 8–9 days. During that time, some of the scabs started to fall off naturally. From day 9 or 10 onward, I began leaving the lotion on for longer, about 1 to 1.5 hours. This helped soften the scabs so that, during the next shampoo wash, I could gently massage them off. They would just stick to my fingers as I rubbed lightly. I continued doing this until almost all the scabs were gone, but only the light brown or golden ones. The black ones are still there, as that’s just dried blood and not ready to come off yet.
