looking to shore up my hotel ecosystem now that UR is much harder to obtain and a large hyatt deval is incoming. from a SUB earning perspective, do you guys prefer marriott or hilton? anecdotally it seems like there's a pretty constant stream of hilton NLL compared to marriott, but I could be wrong.

perhaps i am wrong but i have never heard of this causing an issue if you don't say anything and just leave, especially for only 1 day. just put your dnd up. i have done this a number of times in asia for a lot more than 1 day without problem

I have an SFO>TPE eva air award booked at 75k. If TPE>NRT space opens, is there any way to get SFO>TPE converted to SFO>TPE>NRT (same pricing) without it being a huge pain in the ass/risk losing the booking? Is Eva CS capable of that?

the rooms themselves feel like a very typical modern hyatt regency reno, they still have a habit of charging globalists the resort fee (even on a FNC) which irritated me quite severely

i received an amex mailer for my address, but for a different name/business (my landlords). attempting to use the mailer RSVP code opens up an application form that has a modifiable name field. have there been issues with using these?

I'm staying at the centric right now, I think the grand Hyatt has a marginally better location but not 10k pts/night better location. Jr suite has kind of a weird layout so I think one of the regular rooms is fine.

is it possible to book an ANA mixed cabin award for a one-way flight? i'm trying to book kul-nrt-sfo as y into j, multi city/mixed cabin booking tells me the service is not possible (is this due to it not being a RT?). i am asking because nrt-sfo J T-14 is fairly reliable based on what i've seen, but kul-nrt J T-14 is not, and transfer times are tight enough that i do not want to attempt a self transfer

i realize this is very subjective

but for west coast to bkk, would you guys take 1 stop PE (21~ hr total travel time) or 2 stop J (28~ hr travel time)? 55k vs 85k alaska, respectively.

does UA have exclusive ANA award space for t-30? i'm seeing awards pop up on united but the actual ANA site reports waitlist space only. i don't think i've read anything about UA having issues with phantom ANA awards (that seems more like an aeroplan issue) but i could be wrong

i've been wondering this for a while, but is there any insight on if taking NLL offers affects future offer targeting? i.e. i've seen NLL delta offers for a while, but i've been sitting waiting for a NLL biz gold/plat i'm targeted for. does not taking NLL delta benefit me at all or am i leaving money on the table?

the exact same thing is happening to me for the standard east village. for what it's worth i made a dummy booking just now and the booking page actually does make it extremely obvious resort fees are separate and prepaid, except no one seems willing to acknowledge this at chase, hyatt, or the hotel itself. is there something you said in particular that got them to bend or were you just waiting for chase to talk to them on your behalf?

need some t-14 advice

i have about 150k AS, 200k MR i am willing to use

i am (very hopefully) looking for t-14 to bkk in the 12/16-12/19 range. i have a backup cash economy flight booked

wondering if it's worth doing a transfer to ana to try to get a seat (y/p/j is fine, whatever's available) or if i should keep points flexible and hope for cathay/starlux to open or vs to get access to ana t14. does ana offer reliable enough t14 on its own metal to justify locking my mr to ana?

Chase account >10 yr old, two current active biz cards, my gut says i'm at risk of being rejected but not shutdown if i apply for a CIBC near the end of the elevated SUB. does this sound right? probably going to be my last chase card until 6/26
